They continue to treat a growing number of conditions with minimally invasive surgery, helping patients experience shorter hospital stays, fewer infections and faster recoveries. The surgical team also has made great strides in ileal pouch reconstructions over the last 30 years. They employ a surgical technique that allows patients to go on to lead normal lives and enjoy social and athletic activities their disease had kept them from in the past.
