Functional And Cosmetic Excellence (FACE) Team is organizing a new 2 years course in Cluj-Napoca starting with September 2013. The course is a theoretical-practical and it is directed to dentists that had previously taken a post-graduate degree in orthodontics in an official recognized institution. The course will be given by Dr. Domingo Martin, Dr. Renato Cocconi and in most of the sessions they will have collaborators with expertise in different areas (TMJ, imaging, periodontics, prosthodontics, technicians). OBJECTIVES OF THE COURSE The objective of the course is to learn the fundamentals of the FACE philosophy and then to be able to apply these techniques in our day by day practice and to help obtaining the treatment goals: 1. Dental and Facial Esthetics 2. Functional Occlusion and TMJ Health 3. Periodontal Health 4. Stability 5. Airway 6. Satisfy patients chief complaint In order to obtain our goals the instructors will teach the use of specific instrumentation (articulators, splints, CPI etc). There will be clinical demonstrations and training and the students will be involved in the use of instrumentation. The course consists of 7 sessions lasting 3-4 days that will be given approximatively every 4 months. Between each sessions the students are asked to practice the techniques learned and to share their experience with the other participants. Participants to the course get a one year free license for Dolphin Imaging Software. FORMER STUDENTS OPINION The FACE Course has changed my perspective about orthodontic treatment. The course has a full educational structure with theoretical presentations, cases as well as practical demonstrations and training Dr. BOGDAN GEAMANU The FACE course is an exceptional one under all aspects: scientific, theoretical and practical. Many of the presented ideas were new for me, other not new but have very well presented. The lecturers have shared with us their clinical experience coming from exceptional orthodontic practice. The diagnosis and treatment philosophy should be the standard in all orthodontic offices. My decision to take the course was really inspired! Dr. DRAGOS TOTOLICI The FACE Course is the most complete and structured course I have taken! It has changed my entire perception of the orthodontics from diagnosis to treatment plan elaboration and treatment itself. The FACE philosophy is demanding more attention and work to be put on every case but the results are recompensing all effort. I strongly recommend to any orthodontist to take this course! Dr. ANDREI IACOB
