First Aid Measures Symptoms of exposure: based on animal studies with spinosad, exposure to eco-naturalure Fruit Fly Bait Concentrate by inhalation, ingestion or contact with skin or eyes mat result in minor irritation to eyes or perhaps an allergic response due to the presence of proteins from a plant extract in the product. It is highly unlikely that exposure occurring during normal use will produce any toxic effects as the product is of very low toxicity. There are no specific first aid measures required for this product. Wash off skin or irrigate eyes if irritation occurs Consult The Poisons Information Centre, (13 11 26), or a Doctor in every case of suspected chemical poisoning. Never give fluids or induce vomiting if a patient is unconscious or convulsing regardless of cause of injury. It breathing difficulties occur seek medical attention immediately. Absorb material and place into a salvage drum for disposal. On soils, skim off upper contaminated layer and collect it for disposal. If further information is required, telephone the emergency contact number. 2

Safe handling and storage Handling: Keep out of reach of children and animals. After work, wash hands before eating, drinking or smoking. Clean up spilled material immediately, and wash clothes and equipment after use. Avoid contact with eyes. Storage: Keep out of reach of children and animals. Store in tightly closed original containers in a cool, well ventilated area, out of direct sunlight. Exposure Control/Personal Protection Workplace Exposure Standards have not been set for eco-naturalure Fruit Fly Concentrate. Personal protection Respiratory: Respiratory protection should not be required for normal use or handling Eye: No specific eye protection is required for normal handling and use. For manufacturing situations, wear safety glasses. Skin/body: When there is potential for skin contact wear appropriate workclothes, such as cotton coveralls, or long-sleeved shirt and long pants, waterproof shoes plus socks. Personal hygiene: After use and before eating, drinking or smoking, wash hands, arms and face thoroughly with soap and water. Toxicological information Based on the individual components present in the formulation Health effects: Acute Swallowed: The product is non-toxic Eye: Splashes of product or spray mix in the eye may irritate the eyes; however no corneal damage is likely. Skin: Prolonged skin contact is unlikely to result in absorption of harmful amounts. The product contains proteins from plant extracts which may cause an allergic reaction to some people. Inhaled: No adverse effects are anticipated from exposure to spray mist. Mutagenicity: Does not cause genetic damage Reproductive and Developmental toxicity: No observed effects Carcinogenicity: Spinosad did not cause cancer in multiple generational studies in animals Ecotoxicity information Aquatic Organisms: Practically non-toxic to fish (LC 50 or EC 50 > 100mg/L in most sensitive sp) Terrestrial non-vertebrates: No adverse effects are likely to occur in terrestrial animals. Honeybees are sensitive to spinosad but the use of eco-naturalure is not expected to harm bee populations, even if foraging when spraying occurs. Topical LD50 >100µg/bee. Soil and Groundwater: Spinosad has a half life in soil of 8-9 days. Slower in anaerobic conditions with a half life of 9-17 days. Spinosad is stable to heat but will breakdown under UV light. Surface Water: Spinosad is table to hydrolysis at acid and neutral ph s in the absence of UV light. At high ph (>9) the half-life is approx. 200 days. However, in the presence of light, spinosad hydrolysis rapidly (half-life< 1day) Vegetation: Spinosad is not taken up significantly by plants at the roots or foliage. Disposal considerations Contaminated material must be disposed of in accordance with all local authority requirements. Do not contaminate water, food or feed by storage or disposal Triple rinse container before disposal. Add rinsings to the spray tank. Do not dispose of undiluted chemicals on site. If recycling, replace cap and return clean containers to recycler or designated collection point. If not recycling, break, crush or puncture and bury containers in an approved local authority landfill. If disposing of unwanted product contact Organic Crop Protectants or your local council.
