WZUSI presents Renal Transplant Update 2014 jpac JAYARAMDAS PATEL ACADEMIC CENTRE th th 25 & 26 April 2014 : Venue : Jayaramdas Patel Academic Centre Muljibhai Patel Urological Hospital, Nadiad, Gujarat, INDIA
Message from WZUSI Dear Friends, Rapid changes are taking place in every subspeciality in Urology. It is indeed impossible for every Urologist to master the art and science of Urology in each individual subspeciality. General Urology will continue to be the base but it is inevitable that most Urologists will have to pursue atleast one, if not two subspecialities with keen interest. Come April, USI-WZ has organized a focused update and a comprehensive workshop on Renal Transplantation and care of patients with Chronic Renal insufficiency. As Urologists do have to face a lot of patients with this ailment, it is imperative that they are updated with the current developments in this field. Recent increase in the number of trained Urologists will ultimately lead them to offer their expertise in Renal Transplant surgeries as there are more and more centres for Renal Transplantation coming up across the country. We are happy to invite all members for a Renal Transplant update at Muljibai Patel Urological Hospital, Nadiad. The Scientific content is focused and comprehensive. It will allow ample time for members to interact with Masters in this field and provide opportunities for an indepth discussion, We are certain that attending this important update will ensure that each delegate will return to his Urology centre equipped with a thorough knowledge on this subject and with tremendous confidence to take care of his patients. Message fromorganizing Team Dear Friends, It is indeed our great privilege to invite you for the forthcoming th th Transplant update to be organized by USI-WZ & JPAC on 25 & 26 April 2014. In the last few years more & more centers have started doing transplantation & many centers are in the process of getting permission. It is a good sign that Urologists are taking keen interest to develop this subspecialty. Transplant surgery differs from all other surgeries wherein you are subjecting a healthy person to undergo surgery. Utmost care has to be taken to achieve 100% safety & to ensure that the morbidity should be reduced to a minimum. Laparoscopic donor nephrectomy is a step ahead in this direction. Similarly, recipient surgery has to be done with great care. Even a very small error can have serious consequences which could lead to a poor outcome. Postoperative alertness is as important as surgery. Several situations are likely to arise where a Urologist has to take a quick & a definitive decision. In this Transplant update, we are focusing on all these aspects. Live transmission & in depth discussion of lap donor nephrectomy will give you an incentive to start LDN program & for those who are already performing, there will be several tips and tricks shown to encounter difficulties. If you look at the program, enough time is kept for discussion of practical aspects of recipient surgery technique & post op problems. We are also covering vascular access & CAPD, which are important areas but often neglected in most conferences. Renowned & experienced national faculty will interact with you and be happy to answer any questions put forth. We are confident that this Transplant Update will give you lot more information which you will be able to implement in your practice. Nadiad is known for its hospitality. We will make your stay comfortable. It will be our endeavor to follow JPAC's motto Enter to learn, exit to serve Dr. Mahesh Desai Dr.R.B.Sabnis Dr. Jigish Vyas Patron Org Chairman Org. Secretary
