1. INTRODUCTION Dragon Medical Speech Solutions for Clinicians from Nuance is used for dictating notes into PrognoCIS. We support the integration of Naturally Speaking Dragon ONLY with iphone App. 2. BENEFITS OF USING NUANCE TECHNOLOGY IN IPHONE APP? Presence of Nuance technology in PrognoCIS iphone App, - Ensures that dictation is documented at the highest speed which is 5x more than typing, - Provides Cloud technology with cloud based sharing across devices and platform; - Access to latest medical dictionary, terms, phrases and clinical formatting rules, - Implements HIPAA Compliant Speech Recognition with Speech-related data being communicated over 256-bit encryption channels, to ensure end-to-end security. 3. IMPLEMENTATION OF DRAGON SPEECH RECOGNITION SOLUTION IN IPHONE APP From their PrognoCIS iphone App Users have a provision to dictate the relevant Notes for Vitals; HPI; Physical; ROS; and Specialty using Speech to Text Recorder from their iphone App. Following are the details: 3.1 Vitals Vitals help to assess the most basic body functions of a patient. Clinic Users can either enter the relevant Vitals Notes or dictate the same using Speech to Text Recorder from their iphone App. Refer to figure 3.1-1 3
Figure 3.1-1: Vitals screen Following are the steps that display various modes through which you may enter notes to Vitals: 1. Tap the Notes area to enter your notes. 2. Tap the zoom icon: to view the notes in a zoom mode. 3. Tap Search Phrases icon: to choose and add from the available phrases. 4. Tap Speech to Text Recorder icon: to invoke popup. Tap on the Stop button: to stop recording. Note: When the recording button is active the stop button remains inactive and vice-a-versa. 5. Tap Save button to save the entered details; the details are available under Notes section in PrognoCIS Web Application associated to mobile template. Or Tap Cancel button to close the current screen without saving any entered details and takes you to the Encounter screen. 3.2 HPI HPI or History of Present Illness refers to the complaints, or symptoms reported by a patient. Clinic Users can either enter the relevant HPI Notes to the complaints or dictate the same using Speech to Text Recorder from their iphone App. Refer to figure 3.2-1 Figure 3.2-1: HPI screen 5

Typically, a Nurse or a physician conducts these questions or review. The physicians can perform a general multi organ examination, or single organ exam. This review is important for determining the level of services offered and billing. ROS conducted by Physicians of patient in an encounter is recorded through PrognoCIS Web application; Clinic Users can either enter the relevant ROS Notes to the complaints or dictate the same using Speech to Text Recorder from their iphone App. Refer to figure 3.4-1 Figure 3.4-1: ROS screen Following are the steps that display various modes through which you may enter notes to ROS: 6.
