Summary BD, in a non-commercial capacity, is working with NGOs and governments to strengthen laboratories as an implementing partner with PEPFAR. Over 183 healthcare workers from 10 African countries have benefited from this program since the agreement was signed. BD is publishing with CDC/PEPFAR on the PPP and Uganda LQM Program to create more awareness. Internally, we conduct strategic planning with PEPFAR to improve efficiencies and capabilities. Metrics-based results with positive feedback from US State Dept and CDC has prompted a Best Practices case study to be published. Ours is a model partnership.

Summary BD/PEPFAR is Strengthening Laboratory Systems in unique ways Defining new volunteer roles and opportunities with partners Assisting with EQA capabilities in country Identifying Sustainability Models with new partners Improving BD associate capability and recognition Helping All People Live Healthy Lives
