IMPROVING YOUR CATTLE OPERATION S BOTTOM LINE THROUGH THE USE OF THE PNC BEEF MINERAL PROGRAM Benefits to the Cow Herd The PNC Beef Mineral program uses Alltech s Bioplex organic trace minerals to supply 100% of the cow s trace mineral needs. Bioplex Organic Trace Minerals are organic forms of key minerals that are more easily absorbed and retained in the body. This improved bioavailability provides superior mineral nutrition to cows in reproductive intense embryo transfer and artificial insemination programs and has been shown to support the success rate of these technologically advanced programs. Bioplex organic trace minerals also support the reproductive performance in purebred or commercial cow herds. The PNC Beef Mineral program is formulated to meet the nutritional needs of each ranch situation with their own individual cattle genetics and feedstuffs. The mineral program, forages and grains are precisely formulated to meet the nutritional needs of the cattle while avoiding costly overfeeding of the individual feedstuffs. The PNC Beef Mineral program has been shown to improve pregnancy rate. Currently every 1% drop in pregnancy rate costs $9/every cow in the herd just due to lost calf sale weight. The calving window has a big impact on wean weights and overall ranch profitability. A calf born at 42 days into the calving period, rather than the first 21 days, has a lowered sale value of $95/calf due to lost wean weight and a calf born at 63 days into the calving period is worth $190/calf less than a calf born during the first 21-day calving cycle. The PNC Beef Mineral Program has consistently narrowed the calving window by tightening the breeding period allowing for more days of calf growth before weaning. The precisely formulated mineral and vitamin combination in the PNC Beef Mineral Program supports the proper fetal programming of the calf in utero, leading to better calf growth during lactation and subsequently in the feedlot. Calf weaning weights also will be improved when using the PNC Beef Mineral Program due to the following factors: -Improved colostrum quality -Better vaccination response -Lower incidence of scours -Increased milk production Benefits in the Feedlot The PNC Beef Mineral program helps to reduce respiratory disease at placement via improved immune response and lowering of stress levels. Better vaccination response Decreased incidence of foot rot These improvements in calf health can lead to improvements in daily gain and feed efficiency

McFleeg Feeds www.mcfleeginc.com McFleeg Feeds has been operating as a feed company in South Dakota since 1976. Operations were first based in Bowdle, SD. In 2004, McFleeg Feeds built a new, state-of-the-art feed mill in Watertown, SD while continuing to operate their water-soluble mixing plant in Bowdle, along with their animal health retail store in Watertown. McFleeg Feeds provides vitamin-trace mineral mixes and animal-health-enhancing feed products to swine and turkey growers in South Dakota, North Dakota and Minnesota. McFleeg Feeds has successfully maintained a large percentage share of the Hutterite Colonies feed business through innovative product development and dedication to customer service. For a number of years, McFleeg Feeds has been toll-mixing beef feed products according to the specifications of Warren and Jodie Woroniecki of Prairie Nutrition Center, Inc. in Hebron, ND. It is our intention to utilize Warren s beef nutrition experience to help bring innovative nutrition products to beef producers in South Dakota. In this arrangement, McFleeg Feeds would provide delivery and mixing of feed products formulated for your ranch s feedstuffs according to Warren s recommendations. McFleeg Feeds would also provide the same dedication to customer service that has helped us successfully maintain and grow our current business PRAIRIE NUTRITION CENTER, INC. www.pnccows.com Since its founding in 1991, Prairie Nutrition Center has become a leader in animal health. Headquartered in Hebron, ND, Prairie Nutrition Center is committed to assisting cattle producers through all phases of beef production by providing the highest quality mineral supplements. Prairie Nutrition Center has taken a different approach by looking at the simple building blocks of life. Our product lines were developed to increase metabolism of nutrients, to help utilize the natural resources (managing them as well), provide the nutrient(s) needed to achieve the production we want; and let the cow work for us, said Warren Woroniecki, Owner. We continue to research product lines that return an investment and save labor resources. Web site: www.pnccows.com Email: pncinc@westriv.com

The products inside... Bioplex Organic Trace Minerals are organic forms of key minerals that are more easily absorbed and retained in the body. Consequently, Bioplex Organic Trace Minerals can help improve and maintain high levels of these crucial minerals needed to support hoof health, immune function and reproductive performance. Cattle need selenium to maintain disease defense, reproductive function and overall health. Ruminant animals have a unique inability to use inorganic selenium because inorganic selenium cannot be effectively stored, leaving the animal without adequate tissue reserves. Sel-Plex is an organic form of selenium produced from yeast that closely matches the form of selenium naturally supplied by grains and forages. Sel-Plex maintains high selenium status to meet cow and calf demands while preserving a healthy immune response. Stable gut health is critical for starting cattle right. Bio-Mos is the original natural solution to intestinal health issues. It promotes good bacteria and builds natural defenses thereby maximizing animal performance and profitability. Optigen allows more flexibility when formulating diets for all cattle classes including greater use of home-grown forages or other inexpensive by-product feeds. The fall grazing product provides an alternative to lick tubs or liquid feed at a lower cost per head per day. Optimum rumen function provides the platform to maximize dry matter intake and the efficiency of its use. The longer the rumen stays in its most efficient zone of digestion, the greater the potential of the rumen to release nutrients from its feed. Yea-Sacc 1026 Aspergillus Oryzae stimulates the bacteria responsible for both fiber digestion and acid removal. It achieves an elevation of rumen ph leading to more efficient total digestion of both feed and forage. Bioplex Minerals, Bio-Mos, Yea-Sacc 1026, Sel-Plex and Optigen are registered trademarks of Alltech.
