MICHIGAN CYBER RANGE Powered by Merit, the Michigan Cyber Range (MCR) prepares cybersecurity professionals to detect, prevent and mitigate cyber attacks in a real-world setting. Like a test track or a firing range, the MCR enables individuals and organizations to conduct live fire exercises: simulations that test the detection and reaction skills of participants in a variety of situations. The MCR also offers certification courses for a number of cybersecurity disciplines, with instruction available on-site and live online. Over 300 attendees are expected at this year s MCRCon. This year s theme is Some Assembly Required, with a focus on the various people and systems needed to make sure organizations stay secure. Sponsors receive national recognition and other benefits listed through Merit and MCRCon. Along with the speakers and reception at MCRCon, the MCR hosts live demonstrations, with a day long Capture the Flag contest.
