The best of TotalCare Therapy System. TotalCare Bariatric Plus Therapy System combines all the best features of the TotalCare Bed System, plus special features you need to manage your bariatric patients. At a glance Mobility Pulmonary therapies including Continuous Lateral Rotation Therapy (CLRT) and Percussion/Vibration (P&V) therapy Upright FullChair position with dependent leg positioning for up in chair Seat and foot deflate offers low bed height for safer, easier exit Option of side or chair egress Dignity Attractive, mainstream design Single-post patient helper trapeze 227 kg therapeutic weight capacity with a 102 cm wide surface Safety and Efficiency IntelliDrive powered transport for efficient in-bed patient transport Turn Assist for easier patient repositioning FlexAfoot retractable foot mechanism helps keep patients from sliding down in bed 30- and 45-Degree Head-Of-Bed (HOB) angle alarm and trending HandsFree emergency CPR and Trendelenburg 227 kg therapeutic weight capacity, all in an appealing bed. Available Pressure Redistribution Surfaces Multi-layer foam Integrated air surface with Advanced Microclimate Management and optional pulmonary therapies; - Continuous Lateral Rotation Therapy (CLRT) - Percussion/Vibration (P&V) TotalCare Bariatric Plus system named a 2008 winner in the General Hospital Devices and Therapeutic Products category by the Medical Design Excellence Awards program Single-post patient-helper trapeze, allows patients to reposition themselves without asking for help. 2

Low Air Loss pressure redistribution surface with optional pulmonary therapies helps to prevent and treat pressure ulcers and pulmonary complications. Includes Advanced Microclimate Management, Turn Assist, Seat and foot deflate, Max Inflate, optional Continuous Lateral Rotation Therapy (CLRT) and Percussion/Vibration (P&V) therapies, all designed to make daily care easier and safer. FullChair position with cradle transition gently supports the bariatric patient to minimize sliding during FullChair positioning. 30- and 45-Degree Head-Of -Bed angle alarm and trending for patient care protocols. Ease of use for both patient and caregiver with clear iconography for bed controls. Touch screen with graphical user interface to control the advanced therapeutic functions. TotalCareTM Bariatric Plus System One therapy system, that s all. 3

Progressive Mobility and dignity. Getting patients moving throughout their stay, and preserving their dignity at every turn. In bed. The single post patient-helper trapeze allows patients to reposition themselves in bed. Designed for safety, it locks in the central position. The FlexAfoot retractable foot mechanism allows the bed system to be customized to the patient s height. Continuous Lateral Rotation Therapy (CLRT) and Percussion/Vibration (P&V) therapy can easily be administered to help clear secretions from the lungs. Up in chair. FullChair position provides the benefits of up in chair without moving the patient. Because the frame and surface are integrated, FullChair positioning is achieved with just the touch of a button. This feature minimizes the risk of injury to the patient and the caregiver. Cradle Transition provides improved support for larger patients as they move into the FullChair position. Standing up. Seat and foot deflate gently lowers the patient to a safe distance from the floor. Chair Egress permits safer, easier patient egress, both foot end and side, with less risk of injury for caregivers. 4

Safety and efficiency. Protecting patients and caregivers, and helping deliver care more efficient. Our integrated air surface redistributes load over the contact areas of the body, helping to minimize tissue damage and reduce the risk of pressure ulcers. Using the patient s weight, the air system automatically adjusts the pressures specifically for that patient. Opti-Rest provides a soothing, wave-like comfort modality that continues to provide pressure redistribution. Max Inflate firms the surface quickly for enhanced patient handling. The integrated air surface makes it easy to administer Continuous Lateral Rotation Therapy (CLRT) and Percussion/Vibration (P&V) therapy at a touch of a button. Advanced Microclimate Management helps remove excess heat and moisture accumulation for cooler, dryer skin. Our multi-layered foam surface also provides special protection. The multi-layered foam surface has a soft top layer for patient comfort and a supportive bottom layer. The surface also provides special protection for the heel area with its expandable visco elastic foam. This foam surface is designed to provide pressure redistribution in all bed positions, including FullChair positioning. 6

Fast and efficient transport. With IntelliDrive powered transport, even one caregiver can transport your bariatric patient. Easier routine care. Turn Assist uses the bed s pressure relief surface to help turn the patient, making it easier and safer to perform linen changes and other routine tasks. No more tugging and pulling. The FlexAfoot retractable foot mechanism allows the bed system to be customized to the patient s height, minimizing shear forces and patients migration towards the food end. FullChair position with cradle transition gently supports the bariatric patient to minimize sliding during FullChair positioning (not pictured). 7
