From The Governor I hope everyone is enjoying their summer. To start off, the Moose Lodge Blues Fest was a hit. I heard a lot of positive feedback. Great job to Henry Schumann and all of our volunteers. As always, we couldn t do anything without our volunteers. This was a very good fundraiser for the Lodge. You will see some improvements happening around the Lodge. Stop in and take a look at the progress. We are still in need of volunteers for cooks and bartenders. Please talk to Marlin Lewis if you are interested. We are also looking for high school volunteers. If you are looking or know someone looking for volunteer opportunities, we can help. A group of our Bay City Moose Lodge members and officers attended the State of Michigan Moose Conference in Sault St. Marie. It was very informative. This meeting is to keep the lodge officers, both men and women, informed of any changes to come and to also remind us of our duties. Everyone is doing a good job of showing their Moose Membership Card to the bar tenders. Please keep this going. Our District 13 was the winner of the booster page. Thank you to all who contributed and to Dave Langstrom for taking the lead of this committee. One of the topics discussed at the State of Michigan Moose Conference was gossip within the Lodge. As a reminder, keep our Lodge environment positive and welcoming. If you see a visitor at the Lodge, please welcome them. Keep the fraternalism going. Fraternally, Tom GUEST POLICY The Loyal Order of the Moose and the Women of the Moose are a private fraternity. Our members are a very important part of this organization, and the policy, set by Moose International, states you are a guest twice, and then a member. If you have any questions regarding this policy, please see a board member. Thank you for understanding. THEY RE BACK! LIONS SUNDAY TAILGATE PARTY Bring a snack to share September 11 th 4:25 pm Indianapolis Colts vs. Lions September 18 th 1:00 pm Lions vs. Tennessee Titans September 25 th 12:00 noon Green Bay Packers vs. Lions FOOD DRIVE The LOOM and WOTM are having a FOOD DRIVE. We will be collecting non-perishable items thru October 31 st. Further information will be posted indicating which local organization(s) will benefit from this community service. SALISBURY STEAK DINNER Saturday, September 24, 2016 $8.00 5:00 pm 7:00 pm Includes: Mashed Potatoes, Gravy, Honey Glazed Carrots PLEASE PLACE YOUR MEMBERSHIP CARD ON THE BAR/TABLE BEFORE YOUR SERVER TAKES YOUR ORDER. Thank you.

From The Administrator Comments: A big thank you to everyone that attended our Blues Festival. For your support in purchasing our big raffle, we made good money on this fundraiser. If you attended the festivities I hope you had a good time. A really big thank you goes out to our volunteers. They worked their tails for three days. This is what it is all about working together. Higher Degree Council: Our next meeting will be held at the Caro Lodge on September 18, 2016. We have a meeting, luncheon, raffles and door prizes. We donated $300.00 to Moosehaven Centennial Project. Come on over and support the Higher Degree. Legion News: We now have our annual Moose Legion Lottery Tickets. This lottery is based on the nightly play four. Somebody wins every night. I have 20 tickets to sell. They cost $10.00 each one for the whole month of October. Come in and ask your server for one. Congratulations goes out to Mitchel Juan as his name was drawn to win the Michigan Moose Association scholarship. Membership: If you do not pay your dues because your spouse is also a member, I hope you think about this. If you are dropped from the rolls then you cannot come into the Lodge for the next 365 days unless you pay your dues. Fraternally, Marlin 2016 Photo Courtesy of: John Davidson BLUES FESTIVAL Support your Lodge by bringing in your winning tickets!

From The Women of the Moose CONGRATULATIONS BAY CITY CHAPTER #367 Our Chapter qualified as one of the Top Honor Chapters for the 2015-2016 Chapter Year and was honored at the Annual Conference in August. We placed 5 th in the State of Michigan!!!! Congratulation to Dee Baker she received the Green Cap award for fulfilling all personal requirements while she served as Senior Regent! We hope to see you at the BLOOD DRIVE on Wednesday, September 28, 2016. There is a schedule in the Lodge for you to choose a time convenient for you. We are looking for a Chapter member to host our children s HALLOWEEN and/or CHRISTMAS parties. If you are interested or have any questions regarding what this involves, please contact someone on our Chapter Board. Hello MOOSE RIDERS TO OUR MEMBERS: A designated area has been made next to the entrance to the bar for ordering beverages, requesting Keno, paying tab etc. In the past our bartenders have usually waited on you at your table but due to the increase in members they are finding this difficult to do. There are very few Lodges that provided service at tables. Thank you for understanding. SYMPATHY Please keep the family and friends in your prayers for our co-worker Judi Deska who recently passed away. Rest in Peace Judi.
