DIAGNOSTIC CLINICS FOR COGNITIVE IMPAIRMENT LOCATED IN SOUTHEASTERN WISCONSIN Obtaining an accurate diagnosis of progressive memory loss or cognitive changes is often the most important first step made by individuals and families in their efforts to secure the education and support needed to cope with Alzheimer's disease or the symptoms of dementia. Diagnostic clinics provide evaluation and management services to individuals and their families. A typical individual will undergo neuropsychological testing, a comprehensive history and physical examination, laboratory and, if appropriate, x-ray testing during the evaluation. The involvement of a social worker is a routine and essential feature.
