Yes, really. Planned Parenthood continues to try and justify its horrific actions as the nation's largest abortion provider.

abortion provider. Considering the damaging videos being produced each week about Planned Parenthood and its practices, can we (as I said in our last issue of Gabriel Greetings) see these revelations as yet one more answer to prayer? I would say, YES! The videos allow the nation--christian and otherwise--to see in detail the trauma the unborn experience at the hands of Planned Parenthood personnel. Let us pray that the mounting evidence of Planned Parenthood's profiting from the sale of the body parts of aborted babies will turn the hearts of those who struggle to the common humanity of our unborn brothers and sisters. As the summer waxes, join me and the entire Gabriel Network staff in prayer as we ask the Lord to use Planned Parenthood's actions "for good." "You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives."--genesis 50:20. In His service, Stephen J. Wallace Executive Director Prayers Answered... Prayer Requests In addition to the praises mentioned above, Gaithersburg: One mom suceessfully graduated from CNA training on a previously provided scholarship. Another resident was recently awarded a scholarship to complete Dental Assistant training and has begun taking classes. A recent program graduate left us equipped with a job, a savings account, childcare and self-secured housing. Lastly, another Gaithersburg mom has applied for transitional housing and has successfully made it through the initail screening process. Ellicott City:

Ellicott City: One mom has been accepted into a two-year transitional housing program after a rigorous and competitive admissions process. Do you have any requests our staff can pray for? If you have a request, please contact our office so we may pray for you at our daily prayer time. The number is 800-264-3565 x 301. The old adage is, "If you want something done, ask a busy person to do it." The past few weeks have been an exciting and very busy time for Gabriel Network! In addition to the many moms we continue to serve, and the re-opening of our Bowie house, I am proud to announce the creation of a new Church Ministry Team. Cathy Gallagher will lead the team, joined by Mary Cunningham, Patty Perez and Joe Toher. Each of these individuals has volunteered for Gabriel Network in various ways and we are excited to now welcome them to our staff. The team will be responsible for recruiting, training, coordinating and supporting church volunteer groups. We are certain that their on-going dedication to our ministry will enable us to more efficiently and effectively serve our most vulnerable population. CATHY GALLAGHER: Please welcome Cathy, a member of St. Mary's Parish in Annapolis, as our new Director of Church Ministry. She has been involved in church ministry for more than 40 years. Cathy taught in Catholic schools in the Washington, DC/Baltimore area. She as served as Director of Religious Education at St. Pius X, Bowie, MD, and lead the Campus Ministry Office at Spalding High School,

MD, and lead the Campus Ministry Office at Spalding High School, Severn, MD, where she was appointed Assistant Principal. She later served as principal at Towson Catholic High School, Towson, MD, and Our Lady of Fatima Elementary School in East Baltimore, MD. After retiring in 2015, Cathy began volunteering for Gabriel Network. Cathy lives with her husband, Jim, and their three dogs in the Annapolis area. She is delighted to continue her involvement with the church through Gabriel Network. MARY CUNNINGHAM: Please welcome Mary who retired from the Maryland Department of Juvenile Services in 2011 after 30 years of service as a juvenile probation officer. Mary has been an Angel Friend since 2012 and the Gabriel Network Church Coordinator at Sacred Heart Church, Bowie, MD, since the fall of 2014. Mary lives in Bowie with her husband, Mark, and their daughter, Audrey. She enjoys reading, the beach, exercise and Zumba, and of course, serving and sharing God s love with those less fortunate. Mary says, I am very excited to be a part of this dynamic church ministry team and I look forward to all the good things God has planned for this ministry! WELCOME PATTY PEREZ: Please welcome Patty. Prior to Gabriel Network, Patty served as an Associate County Attorney in the Prince George's County Office of Law; as the Associate Director of Family Law Information Services in the Family Division of the Prince George's County Circuit Court; and as the Court Liaison

for Hispanic and Self- Represented Litigants. Currently a Bowie resident, Patty has lived and studied abroad and has taught Spanish at both the university and high school levels. She holds a BA in Spanish Language and Literature from the University of Maryland, College Park, MD, a MA in Spanish from Bowling Green State University, Bowling Green, OH, and a JD from Case Western Reserve University School of Law, Cleveland, OH. Patty cherishes time with her husband, Noel, and children and enjoys traveling. MEET JOE TOHER in our next issue of Gabriel Greetings St. Lawrence Martyr Parish, and Joe T.... what Angels do! Our Angel Friend highlight this month focuses on one of our newest network churches, St. Lawrence Martyr and Angel Friend-- now Gabriel Network staff member--joe Toher. Ariane McBride was pregnant while living in a homeless shelter with her four children. She wasn't sure how she felt and her only friend suggested she terminate her pregnancy. A man she was working with for assistance gave her the number of a Gabriel Network volunteer. During that phone call, she just cried. "I felt alone," she said. "They asked me what I needed and what I needed at the time was someone to talk with." McBride was referred to St. Lawrence Martry Parish in Jessup, MD, which hosts a church-based maternity program with Joe Toher. Volunteers Donna Ford and Sally Rico went with Joe to meet Ariane. "They really comforted me," McBride said. "Knowing someone's there and has your back, it a makes a huge difference," she said. "You start to feel like it's meant to be and you can do it. I'm so happy. Having her is the best decision I could have made. I'm so happy that I get to keep her." "Her" is the baby girl named Joy, that McBride delivered in June. Stephen Wallace, Gabriel Network's Executive Director, said, "I think the St. Lawrence team has really distinguished themselves because of the commitment to love excellently. They really do it right." McBride said, "I went from being alone to having a family."

McBride said, "I went from being alone to having a family." Just one more example of "what angels can do. (Excerpted from a recent article, Review in the Pew, in the Catholic Review) When history repeats itself... is a shepherding home in Gabriel Network's future? To reflect on my earlier remark about busy people, Catherine Langston, our Director of Housing keeps a hectic schedule as a wife and mother of three. However, her dedication to Gabriel Network continues to be a beacon for all of us to recognize. Caring ever so lovingly for each and every mom in our housing program, speaking network-wide to churches to gain support for our ministry and working to the opening of Gabriel s new shepherding home are all things that this busy person does to follow in Christ s footsteps and make the extraordinary possible at Gabriel Network. As the day grows nearer, I look forward to sharing more about how Gabriel Network will be adding a bit of past to the present by opening its first shepherding home in years. Gabriel Network receives St. Joseph Parish Good Samaritan Grant Parishioners of St. Joseph Parish, Cockeysville, Md, granted Gabriel Network a check in the amount of $1,000 to provide funding for housing three mothers and children in our Ellicott City home. Our sincere thanks goes to Sister Julianne M. Hau, pastoral associate of the church's community outreach ministries, and to all the parishioners of St. Joseph Parish. It's official... Bowie House has reopened. We are planning several open houses for the community and special guests to tour our newly-refurbished Bowie maternity home. A new mom moved in shortly after doors were opened and gave birth a week later (See photos.) On an even higher note, we have a hired a new Bowie House Director, Tonya Neal. More details about Tonya in the next issue of Gabriel Greetings.

about Tonya in the next issue of Gabriel Greetings. Many volunteers, donors, and community agencies partnered with us to give our home an extreme makeover. We are thankful for all who helped and for the many businesses that donated supplies and manpower to provide our moms a beautiful place they can truly call home. Touring the home will give you the opportunity to see the effort that went into the refurbishment. Keep a watch for upcoming house tour dates and plan to join us.
