Thermal vein ablation procedures Indication, patient selection, preoperative evaluation, proper diagnostic, instrumentation, equipment, vein access, protocol, post care and complications will be discussed. Clinical and duplex assessments with patients This course will provide live demonstration of clinical and ultrasound techniques for topography and morphology assessment of venous disease. Participants will learn and perform duplex ultrasound assessment with common and complicated venous disorders. Liquid sclerotherapy: technique, post-care indication. Live demonstration This course will discuss the use of sclerosant for small and medium size veins. Participants should be able to summarize the recent updates in the diagnosis and treatment of visual diseased veins and be familiar with different techniques. Foam sclerotherapy: technique, post-care. Live demonstration This course will cover new and evolving technologies in the treatment of varicose veins including foam sclerosant techniques and monitored sclerotherapy. Patient selection criteria, strategies, technique and post-care management. Sclerotherapy complications This course will describe adverse effects and discuss how to avoid them.
