An enthusiastic and highly motivated teacher is required to work with pupils of a full age range and having autistic spectrum disorder /communication difficulties. The successful candidate will: Manage pupils aged 7-11 years with autistic spectrum and provide appropriate support for their needs, working closely with the school s ALN team. Have a good knowledge and understanding of teaching pupils with ASD /communication difficulties and other complex needs. Have high expectations of learning and behaviour. Have a positive, caring attitude. Be able to manage support staff effectively. Be committed to providing a stimulating environment for learning and teaching. Be able to work as part of a committed hard working team. A relevant qualification in the field of special education would be an advantage or experience in the field.
If appointed, a candidate without special needs qualifications would be required to give an understanding to follow an appropriate course of training, whenever the LA could make the necessary arrangements.
