Arapahoe County Summary A Point-in-Time (PIT) count provides a snapshot of homelessness by interviewing those who are homeless at a particular time. The Metropolitan Denver Homeless Initiative (MDHI) conducted a PIT study of people experiencing homelessness in the seven-county metropolitan area with the help of volunteers, service providers, staff, and outreach workers on Monday, January 25, 2016. Of the 3,697 surveyed metro-wide, 300 were in Arapahoe County. Of the 5,467 all homeless reported metro-wide, 456 were in Arapahoe County. This overview provides results of data collected from Transitional Housing programs in HMIS as well as from the survey itself. *Note that not all survey questions received responses and chart data may not equal the total numbers for the county.
