Presents 46th Annual Dermatopathology Self-Assessment Workshop September 15, 2018 Lerner Research Institute, 5 th Floor Amphitheater Cleveland Clinic Register today at www.ccfcme.org/dermatopath18

About the Workshop This advanced dermatopathology workshop will be devoted to the study of 50 unknown microscopic slides using a self-assessment approach of multiple choice and single answer questions. A discussion will follow, which will include the case description, diagnosis, differential considerations, and pertinent comments about each disease. Emphasis will be placed on benign and malignant skin tumors, bullous diseases and inflammatory dermatoses. An interactive computer system will be employed to assist audience participation in the discussion. The virtual slide component of the dermatopathology workshop is going to be set up very similar to the traditional workshop. The major difference is the replacement of a microscope with a computer monitor and a mouse. There will be a separate room, a computer lab, for those who participate in this offering (20 people maximum). The cases will be in a list on the screen and you will select the case to open in the virtual slide viewing software. You will select each case sequentially when you hear the bell in place of passing the glass slides in the traditional format. You will select your answer using pen and paper in the same binder that the other workshop participants use. Everybody will then rejoin the main group on the 5th floor for breaks and for the afternoon portion of the workshop. Target Audience Directed to Dermatologists, Pathologists, Dermatopathologists, Plastic Surgeons, Oral Pathologists, Residents/Fellows, Researchers and Nurses. Learning Objectives At the completion of this workshop, the attendee will be able to: Analyze the broad spectrum of disorders in dermatopathology. Recommend an approach to the unknown which will assist in the final diagnosis. Cite specific features and differential diagnoses. Demonstrate advances and their applications to diagnosis.
