Through reflection and selfdenial, we prepare ourselves to die spiritually with Christ on Good Friday, so that we can rise again with Him in new life. Students and families are encouraged to think about how they can prepare for this special time in our faith lives, focusing on prayer, giving to those in need, and fasting - giving up a pleasure in our lives, or giving up something that holds us back from being our best selves. This month, we are focusing on the Catholic Graduate Expectation of being a collaborative contributor who finds meaning and dignity in all work. For students, this takes the form of cooperating with others, valuing and respecting everyone s work and contributions, using the many talents and gifts given by God, and appreciating that everyone is trying to do the same thing with their gifts and talents! Congratulations! to our Monsignor Morrison Growing in Faith Catholic Graduate Expectation Award Recipients for being A Self-Directed, Responsible, Lifelong Learner CELEBRATION of LEARNING WHY? To ritualize our students /staff s many gifts. WHAT? Growing in Faith Award celebrates our students and their demonstration of the Catholic Graduate Expectations. MONSIGNOR MORRISON HAPPENINGS On Wednesday February 28, Monsignor Morrison was blessed to have Earth Rangers visit the school. The Earth Rangers School Assembly is a dynamic and interactive presentation that leverages the shared, innate connection children of all backgrounds have to animals. Through the power of live animal demonstrations and positive, science-based information, our high-quality program educates students about the importance of protecting biodiversity while highlighting real conservation initiatives across Canada. Throughout the Assembly, students were introduced to four of the Earth Rangers Animal Ambassadors, including animals like Kateri the Peregrine Falcon, Gizmo the Eurasian Eagle Owl, and Quillow the Prehensile-tailed Porcupine. A letter from the Family in India that we have been sponsoring:

Dear Sir/Madam: Monsignor Morrison kindly requests your support in the Wizard of Oz: This year Monsignor Morrison is proud to present, "The Wizard of Oz", on May 1 st, 2 nd, 3 rd, and 4 th. As you can imagine, a show of this calibre requires a great deal of practice, as well as many helping hands behind the scenes. In order to ensure the success of the production, we are seeking contributions to help defray the costs associated with the show. Our students are talented and gifted in many ways. Funds raised will directly benefit Monsignor Morrison students through our arts programs. Generous donors like you are the key to our success and make it possible for us to provide our students with wonderful opportunities that involve song, dance, musical instruments and drama. We hope that we can count on your support to help us continue to provide our children with memorable experiences involving the arts. As part of your donation, your business or organization will be advertised in our program. Rates are as follows: $25.00 for a business-card size advertisement $35.00 for a half-page advertisement $50.00 for a full-page advertisement If you would like to donate to "The Wizard of Oz, please send your donation to the Main Office at Monsignor Morrison or contact Vicki Walt at (519) 675-4416 by no later than April 6 th.
