It is used to cure the discomforts like pain, neurological irritation, swelling. It is used to cure pain, relieve and heal the ailment by promoting irritation at the area of the skin. Diversion of morbid matter from its location to other place or enhancing the flow of morbid matter to one side or diversion of morbid matter from a slow elimination area to far elimination channel is called Counter Irritant. This is also called as transfer of matter. Original Article Aim and Objective To produce Analgesic and Anti-Inflammatory effect in Pain and Inflammatory conditions. To reduce the Neurological Irritation, Pain and Inflammation. To evoke the Tabiy at for maintaining Health (Body Physique). To resolve the Inflammations and swellings of body. To cause Dissolution of Tumors and Cystic swellings. To absorb certain fluids and morbid matters from its site towards opposite site for preventing disease. To absorb the morbid matter if it is accumulated beneath the skin surface or in cavities. To stop the abnormal evacuation of matter, like: in Haemorrhage, Vomiting and Purgation etc. To prevent the vital organs from the morbid matter of disease, the matter is diverted towards the accessory organs.
6 Abbas Ali & Omme Salma MATERIALS AND METHODS Materials Medicated Oil for Massage Cups for Cupping Therapy Leech for Leech Therapy Ointments, Balms. Methods In this method few cases have been discussed like Headache and Blood vomiting. Headache A patient came with a complain of high fever and severe headache. It was diagnosed as Meningitis. The patient was given purgative medicine as to divert the morbid matter towards the intestine for the evacuation of morbid matter through stool there by the high temperature of the patient came down to normal. And the symptom of headache relieved. The vital parameters like temperature, blood pressure, etc., were found normal and the patient was discharged. Venesection A patient came with a complain that he is suffering from blood vomiting. The physician diagnosed the blood vomiting and decided to go for venesection therapy, to divert the morbid matter. Venesection process was carried out on cephalic vein. The blood vomiting came under control after letting out the blood about 50 ml. The patient was kept under observation for 15 mins. As there was no occurring of blood vomiting and after assessing the vital parameters patient was discharged and advised to take liquid diet or fruit juice. 8 Abbas Ali & Omme Salma DISCUSSIONS AND RESULTS At the Center for Unani for Ilaj Bit Tadbeer, the earliest from of healing through Counter Irritant has brought good results in treating the patients with various illnesses like pain, sinusitis, skin disorders and other diseases. At the Center for Unani for Ilaj Bit Tadbeer, 1722 patients were seen exclusively for pain, 654 Patients were seen for sinusitis, 495 patients were seen for Skin disorders and 413 patients were seen for other diseases. So, total of 3284 patients were seen exclusively through the regimen of Counter Irritant out of 53639 total patients seen through out of 4 years. CONCLUSIONS By using the Counter Irritant therapy to let out or divert the morbid matter. The pain of frontal headache with nasal blockage in sinusitis The sinus associated with frontal headache with nasal congestions along with pain discomfort and running nose with too much secretions of morbid matter has been cured by using the Marhame Kafoor (Cinamomum Camphora Linn) ointment and Sate Ajwain (Ptycotis Ajowan) Extract at the center.
