Old Business: Electricity to the field is still in process. New Business: Warm, spring weather is just around the corner get your planes ready! Getting electricity installed at the field is still in process: Gary reported the electricity prospect is still going, but at a slow pace. Lawn Maintenance: The early spring pre-emergence crab grass control has been applied to the field. Gary reiterated that there is really nothing to do this year at the field except the routine lawn care. Dale will be taking care of the gardening chores like mulch, flowers, weeding, etc. The County will be re-grading the drainage ditch as you enter into the field and will be rolling the runway to get it smooth for takeoffs & landings.

Club Dues: Anyone who wants to pay their dues for the upcoming season please forward them to Steve Snyder as soon as possible. As you all know we depend on our dues to fund our projects and maintenance of our club. Being a member of three flying clubs I can tell you we get the most bang for our buck at our club. Not to mention it is the best flying field in a 75 mile radius. Treasury Report: The Treasury report and current membership was given by Steve Snyder. We are up to 55 members as of the meeting date. This is very good progress for this time of the year. General discussion: Dale had official Swan Harbor RC business cards made up for the Board Members. They look fantastic.great job Dale! Work at the Field - Saturday, April 14 th After the club meeting, several members went to the field to do some chores to help get the field ready for the season: o Gary, Dale, Chris, Herman, and Ron were on duty. o Here are some scenes from the day: Dale and Chris built new storage shelves in the shed and Dale organized the supplies.

The mowers are ready. NASCAR, look out!! Herman is ready to start cutting the field. He s all thumbs up!!

The crew was hard at work on a really nice sunny spring day! Herman s putting the tractor in the shed after a hard day s work is done.

We need to be mindful and diligent about taking care of ourselves against the harmful rays of the sun. It is very important to apply sunscreen and wear hats to protect our heads, necks and faces from sunburn and the problems that can cause down the road. Just friendly words of advice for our members.
