Before using bracket height gauge, rub the lead pencil over the bracket slot gauge. This will leave a graphite mark when you place it against the tooth. Also, mark the model at what millimeter height the bracket will be placed and transfer these numbers to the patient s chart so if you have a bond failure, you will know at what height to place it. 11

The Lab time for IDB From the time the models are poured, trimmed and Liquid Foil placed, horizontal lines placed, models to dry, brackets placed, adhesive cured in toaster-oven, or light curing unit, Elastic hooks and etc. blocked out with cake icing, soft and hard trays fabricated, custom bases microetched and cleaned with water and then with isopropyl alcohol. Procedure will take an average of 60-65 minutes. 28
