Skin Protectant and Skin & Incontinent Cleanser NEW! Cleanser Comprehensive system for the treatment and prevention of IAD, pressure ulcers* and other moisture lesions Safe and skin-friendly Prevents moisture lesions Promotes skin healing Protects both intact and damaged skin Reduces the harmful impact of shearing forces Streamlines day to day incontinence management Cuts down on both direct and indirect healthcare costs * Up to category 2

Skin Protectant and Skin & Incontinent Cleanser The skin-friendly and cost-effective solution for the day to day care of incontinent patients The Aldanex system consists of Aldanex Skin & Incontinent Cleanser, a moisturizing skin cleansing agent, and Aldanex Skin Protectant, a protective ointment. Aldanex has been specifically developed for the daily care of incontinent patients and groups with similar problems, e.g. babies and infants. Aldanex offers an extremely cost-effective solution for the treatment and prevention of moisture related skin problems, such as Incontinence Associated Dermatitis (IAD), diaper rash, intertrigo and pressure ulcers (up to and including cat. 2). The Aldanex cleanser and protectant can be used in conjunction, as a perfectly matched daily care system, but either product can also be used on its own. The Aldanex system contributes to skin hydration and helps maintain optimum moist conditions in both healthy and damaged skin. Incontinence and pressure ulcers Incontinence is a frequent cause of skin damage. Both urine (ph 6-8.5) and faeces (ph 7-7.5) contain toxic enzymes, which impact on the skin and raise the normal ph (5.5). This compromises the role of the skin as a natural protectant against microbes, yeasts and fungi, resulting in irritated, red, inflamed and/or damaged and painful skin (Incontinence Associated Dermatitis, IAD). Moisture lesions are notorious risk factors for the occurrence of pressure ulcers, which makes effective incontinence management a top priority in any care environment. Aldanex has been designed to help achieve just that. Product description and action Aldanex Skin & Incontinent Cleanser is a ph-neutral liquid skin cleanser in a dual delivery spray container, allowing the product to be applied as a spray or as a foam. It shares many of the same ingredients with Aldanex Skin Protectant and has been designed for the day to day washing of patients with incontinence problems and/or pressure ulcers (up to cat. 2). It is particularly suitable as a pre-treatment before applying Aldanex Skin Protectant. The 3-fold action of Aldanex Skin Protectant: 1. Aldanex prevents the development of IAD, moisture lesions, pressure ulcers, intertrigo and diaper rash in vulnerable patients and babies. 2. Aldanex promotes skin repair by creating ideal conditions for natural healing. 3. Aldanex protects irritated and/or damaged skin by creating a barrier against harmful moisture related influences. Aldanex Skin Protectant is a transparent, viscous, non-greasy, smooth and fragrance-free silicone-based barrier ointment for the treatment and prevention of skin damage and superficial lesions. Aldanex is ph-neutral, zinc free and adheres extremely well to both dry and moist skin. The product s superior adhesive qualities allow Aldanex to maintain its protective barrier function against external influences for up to 12 hours. Infection risk factors Moisture Aggressive substances act on the skin and eat into the protective acid mantle, the thin, slightly acidic protective film on the skin surface. Once this natural barrier is broken, aggressive substances may enter and vital moisture may be lost. Aldanex creates a protective coating on the skin, which helps maintain or allow for the restoration of the barrier action of the acid mantle. The skin is protected against aggressive and harmful external influences (e.g. from urine, faeces or perspiration).

Designed for maximum user-friendliness The Aldanex system has been developed with user convenience in mind. The propellant-free spray bottle allows the cleanser to be applied simply, measured and without adding water in either foam or spray form. After cleansing, the product can be effortlessly removed with the aid of a disposable towel or washcloth. Aldanex Skin Protectant can be easily and painlessly applied with the tip of a finger and distributed evenly across the skin area to be protected. After use, the product can just as easily and painlessly be removed with a disposable towel and water or Aldanex Skin & Incontinent Cleanser. Both Aldanex products are free from toxic or otherwise harmful ingredients. Why Aldanex helps stretch healthcare budgets The Aldanex system is one of the most economical in the market for a number of reasons: 1. Less unnecessary therapy costs. Aldanex helps prevent moisture lesions, or contain the problem before pressure ulcers fully develop, which represents a considerable saving in treatment costs. 2. Lower labour costs. Preventing pressure ulcers from developing by using Aldanex is a lot less labour intensive than treating fully developed pressure ulcers. Also, because the system is so easy to work with, there are savings on working time as well as on the deployment of highly qualified nursing staff. 3. No dressing required. Because Aldanex adheres so well to the skin and does not stain, there is no need for a secondary cover dressing. 4. Competitive pricing/very little product required. Aldanex offers a highly competitive price-performance ratio and is available in two convenient size tubes of 85 and 115 grams. In addition, Aldanex Skin Protectant is particularly economical, as only a minimum quantity of the product suffices for maximum effectiveness. Aldanex in the day to day practice - indications Pressure ulcers and moisture lesions Moisture lesions Intertrigo Indications Aldanex is indicated for: The treatment and prevention of skin damage caused by urine and/or faecal incontinence. The treatment and prevention of pressure ulcers up to category 2, intertrigo and diaper rash in babies and infants. Superficial lesions, maceration of peri-wound skin and maceration/friction around drains, tubes, catheters, tracheostomy and nasal cannula sites. Aldanex may also be used to help prevent fungal infection (mycosis), e.g. in diabetes patients suffering from such an infection between the toes. Aldanex can equally well be used in conjunction with antimycotics, in which case the fungicide must be applied first, and then covered with a thin coat of Aldanex Skin Protectant. Aldanex Skin & Incontinent Cleanser is indicated for the day to day cleansing of the skin. Contraindications Aldanex should not be used on patients with known allergic sensitivity to any of the listed ingredients. Aldanex is for external use only. Avoid contact with eyes. Instructions for use Thoroughly cleanse the skin area with Aldanex Skin & Incontinent Cleanser, or with a suitable other cleanser. Wash or cleanse hands and/or use gloves. Squeeze a small quantity of Aldanex from the tube onto the centre of the skin area to be protected. A pea-size droplet is sufficient to treat a 64 cm² (roughly 8 x 8 centimetres) surface. Evenly distribute the Aldanex across the skin by gently rubbing in a circular motion from the centre out towards the edges. Avoid pressure. Repeat after each sanitary change or as often as required.

Developed to be practical Aldanex is a BiologiQ proprietary brand, which means that the product has been developed based on valuable feedback from experienced (wound) care practitioners. For this reason, Aldanex Skin Protectant offers many practical product improvements in comparison with similar products on the market: For caregivers and patients: Aldanex is transparent when applied to the skin, which enables better visual evaluation of skin condition Aldanex spreads easily across the skin Superior adhesion means the product will remain longer in situ and effective Economy: Aldanex is available in two tube sizes (85 and 115 grams) A minimal quantity of the product provides maximum effectiveness Less waste as tube design allows squeezing to the last drop Pharmaceutical grade tube packaging material for better product protection Competitive product pricing Ecology: Tube and packaging recycleable Why Aldanex is indispensable for the day to day treatment and prevention of moisture lesions and pressure ulcers* Comprehensive system for cleansing, treatment and prevention Combats the ill effects of Incontinence Associated Dermatitis (IAD) Reduces the risk of pressure ulcers* by treating and preventing moisture lesions Suitable for both intact and superficially damaged skin Zinc-free, so suitable for patients undergoing radiotherapy Excellent adhesion to both dry and moist skin Developed for daily or more frequent use Ideally suitable for use in simple but effective care protocols Easy and painless to apply and remove Direct improvement in patients quality of life Stretches care budgets by competitive price, low required dosage and preventive effects. * Up to category 2 115 gr. 85 gr. 237 ml.
