Hello! I am happy to see that you are interested in joining us for our annual youth mission trip! Below is all of the essential information about fundraising. The New Process We recently instituted a new fundraising process, in order to hopefully make it easier for everyone involved. This year, each participant may earn 10% of the cost of their trip for every 2 hours they work, up to 8 hours. Additionally, they may also earn 10% by providing an item/ basket to the silent auction. So by working 8 hours, and donating an item/basket to the silent auction, each participant will reduce the cost of their trip by 50%. Details Adult Needs 1. Each participant will have a fundraising passport to record their hours on. These are available at the Youth Booth, if you have not yet received one. 2. We prefer for the youth to work our fundraisers whenever possible. Exceptions will be made when needed (ex. College students) 3. If you think you may be in need of scholarship funds to assist you in paying for the trip beyond the 50% from fundraising, please let Rob or Rheanna know as soon as possible. 4. Silent Auction Items/baskets donated by participants should be of an estimated value of $30 or more. Items do not have to be new, they can be items from around your home that you are ready to pass on. 5. All fundraising participants should make sure to arrive 15 minutes before their shift. Please also make sure to not sign up for overlapping shifts, or for shifts designated for particular groups, as notated on the online sign ups. 6. Youth should plan to participate in multiple fundraisers, rather than completing all 8 hours at one event, in order to ensure the success of all of the fundraising opportunities we are offering this year. For the Media Sale and 50s Diner, we specifically need adults (18+) with a background check on file to help as cashiers Additionally, for the 50s Diner and Breakfast Fundraiser, we are looking for a couple of adults that are comfortable with leading the kitchen process, specifically food prep, so if you are interested please let Rob or Rheanna know. Hours worked by adults for these positions will count as fundraising hours. Fundraising Opportunities All online sign ups can be found on the mission trip page of the parish website Media Sale January 27 th and 28 th Fish Fry February 16 th through March 23 rd Please only sign up for a maximum of two shifts per participant The Fish Fry online sign up is only available during the week, to prevent overlap with the paper sign ups during the weekend. If the sign up asks for a access code, please check back later. Fundraiser Breakfast April 8th, 2018 Fundraising Dinner April 28th Silent Auction Items/baskets due by April 8th, Silent Auction Closes April 28th. Plant Sale May 11 th through May 18 th If you think that you may need additional financial assistance in order to join us, please let me know, we are happy to work something out.
