Good Health Is Your Natural State. You Are Born To Live a Life Of Vitality, Strength, Peace and Happiness. Your Life Should Be Long and Full Of Joy, Excitement, Pleasure and Fulfillment Good health is surely a natural state for all of us but, it does not always happen that way. Too many people are not living up to their potential; and are living with either some physical or mental disease, which is not right because everyone has got the potential of achieving the physical as well as mental health. So, what are those things which help in reclaiming health for yourself and your loved ones and also help to maintain your health throughout the years? Eat nutrient dense foods Those types of food which give an ample amount of life-sustaining nutrients are known as nutrient-dense foods. All other food types have no nutritional value or even negative nutritional value can only drain out good nutrients from your body. These foods with negative nutritional value are called junk foods,

which are highly processed and carries high amounts of sugar, fructose corn syrup and white flour. The so-called nutrient-dense foods include healthy fats and oils like olives, avocados and coconut oils. Also, most fruits and vegetables are nutrient-dense, which most of us do not eat enough of them on a daily basis. Lead a toxin-free life We need to keep our bodies free of toxins to ensure perfect health as these can interfere with the working of our nerves, glands, tissues and other cells. The common sources of toxic pollution are drugs, environmental pollution, cigarettes and many other consumables. It is wise to limit the use of all such toxic substances and try to use the alternative and natural options whatsoever are available after discussing with your healthcare provider. Staying hydrated is the key Dehydration is often linked to many problems like depression, high blood pressure, disc problems, muscle weakness, heart diseases, vision problems, fatigue, and mental as well as physical disorders. Drinking alcohol, coffee, sugary soft drinks and even distilled water actually causes more of water loss. Therefore, drinking according to body needs paves way for wellness. Stay physically active Our body is not meant for just sitting rather it is made for action. Keep playing hard just like we used to in our childhood. Exercising or playing makes our lungs, heart and other internal organs healthy and strong and lengthens our life. Those exercises which leads to pumping of heart and lungs, are considered to be the best exercises, even they are performed only for ten minutes per day. A nice walk with a friend can also do wonders for your physical and mental health

Get enough rest Sleep is essential for good health, and an important marker of sound physical and mental health. Insufficient sleep leads to impaired immune response, obesity, stress, headache and many more problems. It can also disrupt relationships and make a person more accident prone. Exercise your spirit This can be referred to as the most important aspect of life and health. The science of psychoneuroimmunology confirms what common sense tells us that those who are in healthy relationships are better off and those who are in committed relationships live longer and healthier. The more connected you are with your family, the happier you are, thus try to nourish deeper connections to family, friends and co-workers. Strive to explore more social organizations, clubs and religious meetings. The emotions of gratitude and love are the most healing aids, whereas the emotions of anger, fear, loneliness and disconnection weaken the immune system and thus deteriorate the health and wellbeing.

AN UNUSUAL AURA OF MIGRAINE Migraine Basics Migraine.is a moderate to severe throbbing or a pulsating pain or sensation, usually occurring on just one side of the head, but often accompanied by nausea, vomiting, and extreme sensitivity to light and sound. The migraine attacks can last for hours to days together and at times can be so severe that can even disable the sufferer. An aura or warning symptoms like flashes of light, blind spots, or tingling on one side of the face or in your arm or leg often precedes this type of headache.

Unlike other headaches, migraine occurs in phases, namely prodrome, aura, headache and postdrome. Though not all migraines involve all four phases, but a combination of these phases is frequently observed. What Causes Migraine While many aspects of it remain a mystery, a migraine appears to cause vascular changes in the brain that are responsible for the pain. People often experience blood vessel contractions and dilatations in the brain just prior to a migraine occurring. Migraines may be caused by changes in the brainstem and its interactions with the trigeminal nerve, a major pain pathway. These changes include an imbalance in brain chemicals also including serotonin, which helps in regulating pain in the nervous system. Quote to Inspire Man is a physical and spiritual epitome of the universe` Daniel D. Palmer As serotonin levels drop during migraine attacks, initiating a stimulus reaction by the trigeminal nerve, causing a release of substances like neuropeptides, which travel to your brain's outer covering (meninges) thereby resulting into a migraine pain. MIGRAIN TRIGGERS Hormonal changes in women. Fluctuations in estrogen immediately before or during their periods, during pregnancy or menopause seem to trigger headaches in many women Foods. Aged cheeses, salty foods and processed foods may trigger migraines. Skipping meals or fasting also can trigger attacks. Food additives. The sweetener aspartame and the preservative monosodium glutamate (MSG), found in many foods, may trigger migraines. Drinks. Alcohol, especially wine, and highly caffeinated beverages may trigger migraines. Stress. Stress at work or home can cause migraines. Sensory stimuli. Bright lights and sun glare can induce migraines, as can loud sounds. Strong smells including perfume, paint thinner, second-hand smoke and others can trigger migraines in some people. Changes in wake-sleep pattern. Missing sleep or getting too much sleep may trigger migraines in some people, can jet lag. Changes in the environment. A Phases change of weather of or Migraine barometric pressure can prompt a migraine. Medications. Oral contraceptives and vasodilators, such as nitroglycerin, can aggravate migraines.

PRODROME AURA ATTACK POSTDROME Constipation Visual phenomena, such as seeing various shapes, bright spots or flashes of light or Vision loss Pain on one side or both sides of your head sometimes followed by fainting Confusion Neck stiffness Pins and needles sensations in an arm or leg Pain that feels throbbing or pulsing Moodiness Increased thirst and urination Weakness or numbness in the face or one side of the body Sensitivity to light, sounds, and sometimes smells and touch Dizziness Frequent yawning Difficulty speaking Nausea and vomiting Weakness Mood changes, from depression to euphoria Hearing noises or music Blurred vision Sensitivity to light and sound Food cravings Uncontrollable jerking or other movements Sometimes, a migraine with aura may be associated with limb weakness Light headedness Beyond Medication: Other Solutions The traditional medical treatment for migraines is over-the-counter and prescription drugs. However, medication is not effective for all patients and can cause uncomfortable side-effects. Here are some other ways to prevent or decrease the frequency and intensity of a migraine headache.

DIETARY CHANGES Eliminating food triggers and nutritional deficiencies may be helpful for some patients. Common culprits for initiating migraines include cheese, chocolate citrus fruits, coffee, wheat products, nuts and meat. Although there are mixed reviews regarding the deficiency of magnesium in the body, contributing towards the increasing attacks of migraine, but its use has found to provide relief during the attack. It is linked to reducing the damage caused by stress the most likely causative factor migraine. BEHAVIOUR THERAPY Psychological counseling also shows potential as a therapeutic tool for people suffering with migraine. With this approach, they are taught several strategies to help cope with their headaches. They also learn how to identify possible triggers, recognize early signs of an emerging migraine attack and practice relaxation techniques and neck-stretching exercises. This also helps in boosting the selfconfidence of the sufferer. Another possible treatment is the daily dose of antioxidants. Oxidative stress causes a rise in dangerous free radicals and antioxidants stop these molecules from causing damage.
