2017 ANNUAL REPORT

LETTER FROM THE PRESIDENTS 2017 was another remarkable year for the Corporate Volunteerism Council of the Twin Cities, in large part because of the dedication and passion of our members. Our membership companies hail from a large variety of industries, but the Twin Cities thrive because we all come together to make our home a better place to live, work, and play. In that spirit, the CVC-TC s theme for the year was Innovation through Collaboration. New ideas thrive through new partnerships, and our programs this year centered on that idea. We kicked off the year with our Annual Celebration, held at the beautiful Landmark Center in St. Paul. We welcomed Sondra Samuels, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Northside Achievement Zone, to deliver the celebration s keynote address. CVC-TC Member Company ECMC Group was presented with the inaugural Game Changer award for their GO! Program. In June, we were honored to be named the 2017 Corporate Volunteer Council of the Year by Points of Light at the annual Conference on Volunteering and Service. Our commitment to working together on community needs, from workforce skilling to ending hunger, was key in receiving this honor and is proof that great things happen when we innovate and collaborate to make a difference! As we look forward to 2018, we are excited to continue to bring our members the educational programs, networking opportunities, and resources they need to continue to make the Twin Cities one of the top places in the nation for volunteerism. The CVC-TC succeeds because of our amazing members. Thank you for an outstanding year! Yours in volunteerism, Susan Schuster 2017 President Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota Stephanie Johnson 2018 President Minnesota Twins
