"I don't think you can do any more, I know everyone works hard to keep it going" Mrs K. Bonner December 2015 "From the moment my wife and I entered Meadow's Court we knew it was the ideal home for my mother, she always lived in Aylestone so the move a few hundred yards from her apartment meant she was still in contact with friends and family. The move was on medical advice that her cardiac and health conditions required a 24/7 care facility. Fortunately, all her requirements were met with help and advice from Yvonne and her staff who went out of their way to make my mum "feel at home". The genuine level of care for residents has been most impressive. Along with activities and options for continuous engagement and encouragement that remain as active as possible, my mum could not be anywhere better. Thank you." K. Rose (Son of resident) July 2015 "My mother and myself had a wonderful afternoon of fun and music. It was a warm, sunny day, the staff and the laughter were very bright and welcoming. Lovely to see the residents and staff having fun together. Thank you on behalf of my mother, my family, and myself. Congratulations on your 20th. I look forward to the next happy event. C. Leeming (Daughter of Resident) July 2015 "Friday 19th June was a lovely day spent a Spencefield Grange. The theme was sport related with games and other activities going on. The staff were dressed accordingly in different sports outfits and the atmosphere was very jovial and lively. The afternoon saw a sing along with resident carer entertaining us all. A very enjoyable afternoon." C. O'Downie (Family of resident) "You all make a brilliant effort for the residents" J. Lane (Visitor) "Wonderful to see carers with residents participating in activities. Everyone enjoying themselves. Well done" Lorraine (Family Member)

"Great, lovely to see staff with residents, dressing up. Wonderful event. Happy Smiling Residents. Lovely" B. Smead (Visitor) "This event was my first event and what struck me was the feeling of warmth and happiness and friendship. The games, the laughter, the good nature of all the people there was brilliant, really outstanding. Really enjoyed every minute. The fire engine there was a fantastic finishing touch. Really enjoyed it, looking forward to next time!" Your Sincerely K. Sanders (Resident) "From an observational point the event was well attended, lively and appropriate to the residents. Staff were engaging with residents and joined in with activities. Very good - really enjoyed from a visitors point of view" M. Stevenson (Visitor) "Fantastic event again. Lovely atmosphere, love the way all the residents get involved. And I like the way they involve the family. Fantastic the way the staff dress up and really get with the event. Well done!" Your Sincerely Allison Beed "We have enjoyed interacting with the residents today and giving them a tour of the fire engine. We were made to feel very welcome by staff and residents" D. Whatt (Eastern Fire Station) "When we looked round the home in January this year, we knew it was the home for my mam. We are happy to say the care from your staff is very good, the food is very good and the cleanliness is very good. When my mam is not well there is always someone on the phone to let me know or when I'm going to see her. Keep up the good work Meadow's Court staff, you all do a fab job. Thank you for looking after my mam." D. Taylor (Daughter of Resident)

"From the decorations to the staff this event was amazing. The whole place was buzzing and it made for a really great day. I loved the staff getting dressed up and the general cheering they all displayed. The lady that came to sing and the other lady on the keyboard was a fantastic touch. The residents really enjoyed this. For me watching them join in and sing and dance was perfect. I think this could be a monthly event for the residents." Ms Allison B. (Daughter of Resident) "Very welcoming staff, professional and friendly. Residents well looked after and their needs catered for. Very professional and caring staff." Mr K. Betts (60+ Magazine) "Aunt Doris became a resident in August 2014. I have been impressed by her care during this time and the stimulation that is provided by way of activities etc. The staff are excellent and always take the opportunity to engage with my aunt on entering the lounge. This is most appreciated by me as it is keeping her alert." Mr G. Thornton (Family of Resident) "The home is a wonderful place, the girls and boys who work here are fantastic with the residents. I cannot fault it. After John's decline, it has been great for John's sister and myself to see John is being so well looked after by such caring staff in a clean and bright home" Mr and Mrs Lane (Family of Resident) "Today we have had a lovely day at our dementia event. The residents had lots to do and all enjoyed a buffet lunch and entertainment in the lounges. Residents and staff also enjoyed a fun treasure hunt." Ms L. Riley (Staff Member) "Had a great time at Spencefield Grange. The home was welcoming. Staff and residents looked like they were having fun" Ms Z. Magagula (Staff Member) "Was a great day, really enjoyed it! Would recommend people to attend this event!" Ms A. Lorgat (Staff Member)

"Great Activities! It has been a fun day and seeing the residents happy makes everyone happy! Fun packed day!" Ms N. Jadev (Staff Member) "This event 1940's was absolutely fab. Staff really thought about their dress and applied 100% effort. Donations were really good. Entertainment was brilliant, they really joined in with all residents." Ms M. Elton (Staff Member) "The Dementia Awareness day was really enjoyable and very good for the residents, staff and families. There was plenty to do and the residents were enjoying themselves. I really enjoyed seeing staff dressed up which bought a smile to many residents. The treasure hunt was also good." Ms S Smith (Staff Member) "Extremely friendly and welcoming. Rupinder introduced herself immediately and the rest of the staff explained to the event which appeared to be enjoyed by all. We were glad to be a part of this special event" Ms L O'Hara and Ms R. Hill (Visitors) "An enjoyable afternoon was spent on Friday as it was 'Tea and Scones with Mum' we thought it was a lovely way to be relaxed and informal. Hope there will be more afternoons like this in the future." Ms C. O'Downie (Family of Resident) "Pleasant and enjoyable afternoon. Hope there is more to come." Mr M. Whiting (Family of Resident) "We've attended various events at the care home and have always been impressed with the amount of care and organisation of the staff. David on 'activities' did an absolute brilliant event for Mother's Day which involved family and residents able to get together for an afternoon tea with cakes. We would definitely love this to continue as it also gave us the opportunity to include my mother in law who is also of my mum's age (of 95 years).", Ms S Ross and Ms J Higgs (Daughters of resident)

"It is so nice to see everyone (residents) especially enjoying themselves at all the events Spencefield Grange put on. Valentine s Day/ Mother s Day/ St Patricks day. The valentines party and tea dance seemed to make the residents so happy dancing and singing along, it was a joy to watch. We would love it if Dave could once a month make it so we could sit in the dining room with dad, it would be so comforting to sit at the table with him. Thanks for all you do! Ms C. Jarmon (Daughter of Resident) "The activities which are arranged at Spencefield Grange are excellent. It brings all the residents and family members together. The St Patrick's Day event was especially good. Having the children dancing and getting the residents to join in was wonderful. It was lovely to see all the happiness it bought them all. Having decorations up to celebrate the event really helps getting everyone in the spirit." Mr R Swinfield (Family of Resident) "I think this care home Spencefield Grange a lovely care home. As the youngest resident. I feel really at home. The staff are helpful and kind. And recommend this home to anyone." Mr D. Lee (resident) January 2015
