They have put on a large scale community play to ensure that a broad range of people have a better understanding of issues facing people with mental health problems. Stockton User Representative Group for Empowerment represents the views of those with experience of mental health issues. They work to make a positive impact on how mental health services are delivered. Rutland Healing Group is a small voluntary group who run campaigning activities in the area. They campaign to support people who have had problems with mental health. Survivors of Depression in Transition is a centre supporting women with mild to moderate mental health issues. They aim to provide a better understanding of mental health issues to the public and have produced a document that is used for lobbying the government and NHS on mental health services. Advance Brighter Futures Wrexham is a drop in centre that provides information, support and activities to those affected by mental health problems. Keeping the users involved in its activities gives them a stronger voice in mental health services. Augment is a user led mental health support group in Angus, Scotland. It works to reduce the stigma associated with mental ill health. They bring users together, and support them to make their views known about services and improve their confidence and self esteem. Reunion Volunteer Group campaigns to reduce stigma and discrimination in mental health services. They campaign on issues around stigma and help to improve services for people with mental health problems.

They work to reduce isolation, and reduce the stigma and discrimination faced by those who experience mental health problems by promoting awareness and education amongst professionals and service providers. Rushcliffe Support Group provide training and support services for people using mental health services across Nottinghamshire. They run training courses to help to educate people with experience of mental health problems and to give them a say in the treatment they receive when they need services. People with mental health difficulties can and do recover with the right support, but the stigma surrounding mental illness can make this process harder. Lifecraft work to ensure that people with mental health issues are supported and trained to get involved in consultation and campaigning work to reduce stigma and improve services. The Mind Diggers Project within Cardiff Mind gives people with mental health issues the opportunity to do voluntary work in gardens and to gain formal NVQ qualifications to build their confidence and skills. Many of these people end up feeling isolated because of the unbearable stigma of their condition.
