I Hope you all had a wonderful holiday and enjoyed the blessings of the Easter period, I certainly enjoyed spending some quiet time with my family during this time. Term 2 is already well underway and May is one of the busiest times for our PA, with several important events like the Mother s Day Stall and Breakfast. Please see further below for detailed information on upcoming events. Regards, Noura.

Up-coming Events - Term 2 Mothers' Day Breakfast Mother s Day Breakfast will be held on Friday 12 th May from 7am. This year the event will be coordinated by a committee led by Athena Impala, Christina Conforti and Cecilia Campisi. A form has been sent via CareMonkey so please make sure you complete this if you wish to attend the breakfast. More Dad helpers required please! On the form is also a return section for Dads to assist on the morning. We need your help to cook the BBQ, serve breakfast, clean tables and do dishes (but remember, mums return the favour in September for Fathers Day). We are still looking for more volunteers to assist with organising the breakfast, please contact pa@shoakleigh.catholic.edu.au if you are able to assist in any way. There will be raffle tickets available for purchase on the day for some beautiful gifts. This is a wonderful tradition at our school and the kids love having a special breakfast with their Mum and their school friends which makes it even more exciting for them. PA Trivia Night A new event on the PA calendar for 2017! This will take place on Saturday 20 th May 2017. Forms have gone out in the new School Newsletter, but please see below if you missed this. Please come along and support this new event, it s a rare child-free PA Event and a chance for the parents to catch up! School Disco This will take place on Friday 26 th May, 6.30 8pm for all year levels. More details will be sent out soon for this popular event. Recent Events Combined Schools BBQ with Holy Redeemer The combined BBQ was a huge success and the kids had a great time, catching up with friends and enjoying the sausages. A massive THANK YOU to all the parents who went along and helped with the BBQ, your assistance made the event run very smoothly.

End-of-Term Sausage Sizzle Once again the End-of-Term Sausage Sizzle was run successfully by Nicole and Dave Cochrane. Many thanks to Nicole and Dave for their efforts, and to the other parents who came along to help out on the day. Mothers Day Stall The Mother s Day Stall was held on Monday 8 th and Tuesday 9 th of May, and was a great success. The children all enjoyed browsing the lovely selection of gifts to purchase that special gift for their mum! A big THANK YOU to all involved in buying the gifts and those helping out on the Stall to ensure the children were all able to get a chance to buy something. We hope all the Mums enjoy receiving the gifts!
