Changing lives and ending homelessness In 13 Crisis at Christmas centres, we ll be laying on Christmas dinner, fresh clothes, health checks, housing advice and much more for people who are homeless this winter. Crisis at Christmas can also be the start of someone leaving homelessness behind for good. The need is great this Christmas. With soaring rents, evictions and a housing shortage, homelessness has been rising in recent years. We know from our own research that approximately 160,000 households across Britain are experiencing the worst forms of homelessness, and the number of people sleeping rough is projected to rise by 76 per cent in the next decade if things carry on as they are. But it doesn t have to be this way. We believe no one should be facing homelessness in Britain today. If we work together, we can end it.
