Theo-centric Naturopathic Practice Theo-centric Naturopathic Practitioners are trained specialists applying unique healing arts that support Biblical principles, like prayer, laying on of hands, anointing with oil, inner healing, and the removal of demonic influences. The principles of Biblical Holistic Wellness are defined as spiritual, physical, and mental health and deliverance, according to the Authorized King James Version of The Holy Bible. According to the Holy Bible, we are fearfully and wonderfully made. Jesus came to give us life and life more abundantly. And, we shall live and not die! We are called to prosper in all ways, in health, even as our soul prospers. Theo-centric Naturopaths concentrate on identifying destructive aspects of a person s lifestyle in the early phases before a diagnosis can be rendered, when making changes or corrections can produce long-term benefits. These aspects or roots can be spiritual, physical, and/or mental. Once corrected, the body automatically begins to correct itself. If these underlying factors are not addressed, disease and illness will eventually manifest. Diagnosing disease and illness is totally unnecessary once balance is restored. The body heals itself. Even after a diagnosis is made by a qualified medical doctor, the same concepts of healing used are equally effective.
Theo-centric Naturopaths do not diagnose or label people with the names of medical diseases, nor are they involved in the practice of medical procedures. Neither do they use pharmaceutical drugs, nor do they perform any surgery. In essence, they are drugless practitioners trained in Biblical principles for the purpose of ministering to the whole person; soul, body, and spirit. Scope of Practice Theo-centric Naturopaths or Biblical Holistic Wellness Practitioners are permitted under California SB577 to operate independently under the following provisions: 1. Traditional, Classical Naturopaths, hereinafter called Theo-centric Naturopaths, specialize in holistic wellness, teaching clients how to apply natural lifestyle approaches to facilitate their body s own natural healing, homeostasis, and optimum potential in health. 2. Theo-centric Naturopaths are teachers of natural health and wellness practices; evaluating health; suggesting nutrition; as well as, stimulating health and wellness education or the information literacy of clients. 3. Theo-centric Naturopaths do not seek to practice medicine, but offer a person who is not injured information, optimizing awareness of options in health and wellness. 4. Naturopathy, which means being close to or benefiting from nature, is a philosophy which encompasses a view of life, a model for living a full life. 5. Theo-centric Naturopaths do not undertake to diagnose or treat disease, but rather recognize that most sub-health conditions are cumulative lifestyle effects, and that the underlying cause of what we call disease (or, disease ) is an unbiblical lifestyle, improper diet, unhealthy habits, and environmental factors which cause biological imbalances leading to a weakening of the bodies natural defenses and subsequent breakdown in health. 6. Traditional, Classical Naturopathy is an alternative or complementary healing art in the State of California under Section 2053.5 and 2053.6 of California s Business and Professional Code. 7. The practice of Traditional, Classical Naturopathy, the Art and Science of Natural Health and Wellness is not considered the practice of medicine and is currently legal in all 50 states. It is recognized as a common occupation at the Federal level (U.S. Congress 1928, 1929, 1930 and 30 Federal Court rulings between 1958 and 1978) and as such it is a profession protected under the 14 th and 95 th Amendments of the U.S. Constitution.
Theo-centric Naturopathic Principles The Biblical faith of the Theo-centric Naturopath is centered on the following: 1. Jesus, The Word of God, is the healer and He desires health for all people. 2. God uses the natural and the supernatural to restore health. 3. The body of man has a God-given innate or natural ability to heal itself and will do so when properly supported. 4. Mankind was formed out of the dust of the earth and is therefore inherently connected to the land (nature). 5. God formed man in His image (soul, body, spirit) and that health is a function of these three inter-functioning facets, defining the term holistic wellness. 6. Our bodies are meant to be the temples of the Holy Spirit and should be nurtured and protected for His service. 7. The professional responsibility of the practitioner to minister wholeness of soul, body, and spirit rather than treat symptoms is a priority. The Traditional, Classical Naturopathic Philosophy is based on the following principles: 1. Do no harm 2. That God has designed the body to be self-healing 3. Recognize the healing power of nature as designed by God 4. Recognize the supernatural healing power of God 5. The natural and supernatural work together 6. God has made provision for recovery of sickness 7. Identify the cause and source 8. Involve the total person (body, soul, spirit) 9. Support the body rather than treat symptoms 10. Health is maintained through Biblical patterns and principles
