The year that was... Well, it s been quite the year for the P&C! It has been very busy with many fabulous achievements. SCHOOL BANKING The P&C would like to say thank you to Siobhan Dowley for her unwavering and successful coordination of the School Banking program. Her ever cheery face and attitude is just wonderful, thank you! To the volunteer tellers, thank you! Without your contribution, our banking program could not operate. If you would like to join the school banking team in 2017, please contact Siobhan, who will be more than happy to chat. GRADUATION Well, here we are at the end of the year and about to farewell our gorgeous Year 6 students. On behalf of the P&C we would like to congratulate you all on your Graduation from Hillarys Primary School. Best of luck and love to you all as you venture into the next exciting faze of your lives! OUR SCHOOL LEADERSHIP On behalf of the P&C I would like to extend our thanks and appreciation to our Principal, Ron Chesny and Associate Principals Jenny Baynham and Gary Deere for their support and dedication. Mr Deere, you are leaving us for new and exciting adventures... to say you will be missed is an understatement! Thank you for being the most dedicated and caring man that you are. Our students and parents alike will miss you Deere-ly. We wish you well in your retirement and trust you take with you as many treasured memories as we have of you. To Janene Heron, Sonia Miller and Jenny Johnson we thank you for all of your wonderful help with our many, many requests!!! We appreciate you so much! Finally, I would like to acknowledge the amazing efforts and hours our P&C members have volunteered this year. We have had a small, but dedicated team and have accomplished much despite the odds! Thank you so much to each of you! To our wonderfully committed Office Bearers, Louise Roche, Belinda Kretschmer and Michelle Illari, whom without their over and above attitude, the P&C would not have survived a very tough period... Thank you! Many hands make light work so we look forward to lots of new faces in 2017 for a brilliant year! School Banking THANK YOU FOR BANKING WITH US IN 2016 We would like to thank everyone who has chosen to participate in the Dollarmite School Banking Program this year. We have found it to be a huge success and a very fulfilling and rewarding program and will be back in 2017! Keep saving your pocket money, ready to deposit into your school banking account when we return in Week 2: Thursday 9th February 2017 Congratulations to everyone for your contributions as we have raised a total commission to date of $1377. DOLPHIN CAFÉ NEWS Reopening on Monday in week 2 of Term 1 Thank you!! The P&C Association, along with the Canteen Committee, wish to say thank you to Clare Brown, (Canteen Supervisor) for her efforts this year and a HUGE THANK YOU to the wonderful volunteers who have worked so hard to care for our kids. It has been quite the year and we have fare welled three wonderful staff members, Clare Byfield, Tarryn Page and Belinda Stewart, who are sorely missed. On that note, we welcome new folk into the Canteen and look forward to a new and fresh beginning for 2017. Our canteen currently runs 5 days per week but we really need volunteers to keep this service running for our kids. If you are interested in helping out for an hour or so please let us know. Any help at all is gratefully accepted. For more information please contact: hillaryspandc@gmail.com Summer Menu 2017 We ve added new items!!! Prices have been reduced!! The summer menu has begun and with some exciting additions coming in the New Year... the Dolphin Cafe will be better than ever. Invoices Student Lunches The Canteen will periodically send Invoices home for goods provided to children in circumstances where they come to school and have forgotten their lunch and the Canteen has not been reimbursed. We ask that you pay these invoices to allow the canteen to continue to provide this service to the School. 2016 Hillarys Primary School Halloween Disco Another great turn out to this years disco held on Halloween Friday, such an amazing effort by all the children, parents and helpers on the night all the costumes looked awesome!!! The amazing Bella our DJ for the night, kept the kids entertained during each session with games, dance moves and singing. We hope to welcome her back next year.

A special thank you to all the parent helpers in the canteen, selling glow sticks and door staff. You kept the night running smoothly. A total of $1,900 was raised on the night and we thank you for your generosity and support. We hope next year Will be bigger and better!!
