Goal of the Clinical Programs Provide the foundation for training the next generation of physicians to serve the Valley Very few patients should need to leave the Valley to receive the highest quality of care

Vision for the Future Clinical Care Increase collaboration with community physicians to increase access and provide unique services ( few should need to leave Fresno) Continue to develop tertiary and quaternary services for the region Work with hospitals in the area to firmly establish Fresno as a regional center for the Valley

Vision for the Future Research Increased translational and clinical research Under-represented populations Increased involvement in precision medicine research Increased collaboration with CTSI at UCSF and other research enterprises at UCSF and UC Merced

Vision for the Future Education Expand UME opportunities Increase the opportunities for students from the Valley Complete our pipeline process (Junior Doctors Academy, Doctors Academy, SBI) Increase the diversity of our physician workforce Develop innovative pathways for short-tracking students into residency and ultimately practice
