The OWLS Club, sponsored by the City of Rock Hill Parks, Recreation & Tourism Department, consists of adults over the age of 55 in Rock Hill and surrounding areas. The purpose of the group is to provide quality programs and activities through social gatherings, sports, games, and daytime/overnight trips to all seniors. BOYD HILL CENTER CLOSINGS IN JANUARY: Monday, January 2, 2017 City offices closed Monday, January 16, 2017 MLK, Jr. Day; City offices closed WINTER SESSION BEGINS JANUARY 23, 2017 The Shepherd s Center of Rock Hill is led by an active, working Board of Directors. These York County residents are involved in all aspects of their communities and provide the ideas and network from which we invite speakers and class leaders to share their talents and knowledge in our Adventures in Learning classes. Adventures in Learning is six weeks of stimulating lessons and challenging activities that enrich and inspire. Classes include a selection of topics such as Bible study, bridge, other card or board games, exercise or dance, current events, history, travel, health concerns, computer skills, creative writing, knitting or other crafts. Instructors come from all walks of life: local residents with interesting skills, talents and/or experiences, university professors, artists, medical, education and other professionals. The six week program is $20 per person.
