YOUTH DEVELOPMENT Phil Insalaco x 812 Phil.Insalaco@ymcali.org Darryl Smith x 810 Darryl.Smith@ymcali.org FITNESS Kids Play Fit and Ninja Warrior 5-7yrs Kids get a chance to run and play on obstacle courses, use the Rockwall, Adventure Zone, play a variety of sports, and work on beginner fitness concepts. Youth Strength and Conditioning 8-12yrs Our first level of youth fitness. Sports, Body Weight Strength, Flexibility, Balance, and Coordination are all focused on in this class (Or Fit Kids Description) Youth Sport Workout: Speed and Agility 8-12yrs A 30 minutes fitness program designed to increase speed, agility, conditioning, footwork, and core strength. Running Club 6-12yrs A fun run for ages 6 and up. Kids can compete, complete challenges, and exercise. Teen Girls Fit 13-17yrs Workouts designed for girls 13-17, and is our first level of Teen Fitness. Girls learn the basics of exercise using the Fitness Center, Gymnasium, and track. Teen Strength and Conditioning I 13-17yrs Our first level of Teen Fitness. Members learn the basics of exercise using the Fitness Center, gymnasium, and track. Teens can develop their own workout routines focusing on personal goals. Teen Running and Cardio 13-17yrs A 30 minute fitness program designed to increase speed, running form, and conditioning. Great preparation for Spring Track season. MOVEMENT Mommy and Me Movement 6months-3yrs This program incorporates musical movement, interactive play, gross and fine motor skills and encourage bonding between adult and child. Tumbling 3-6yrs Tumblers work on flexibility and coordination while learning the basic moves of gymnastics and creative movement. Lets Play! Yoga 4-7yrs Kid s ages 4-7 will learn yoga poses, breath work, and mindfulness techniques while playing games, reading stories, exercising, and using their imagination. Creative Movement and Contemporary Dance 7-9yrs This program is a fun, energetic mix of multiple dance genres. The dancing represents body movements that go with the beat and rhythm of the music. This contemporary dance class emphasizes conditioning, strengthening, stretching, and coordination. Youth Gymnastics I 6-8yrs Our first level of gymnastics, expanding on our Tumbling program. The class is geared towards skill development and gymnastic fitness. Youth Gymnastics II 8-12yrs Our second level of gymnastics. Students learn more advanced movements while continuing to improve flexibility, coordination, and strength. Kids/Family Zumba 5-13yrs This classes feature kid-friendly routines based on original Zumba choreography. We break down the steps, add games, and activities. Perfect for children of all ages. Kids Yoga 5-13yrs This class is a time to align the young and creative minds of our kids with some fun and powerful yoga techniques to focus their mind and build coordination. Basic poses are learned in a very playful environment so kids enjoy the process of learning yoga. Bring Your Own Mats SPORT Kids Basketball 5-7yrs Our Kids Basketball Program focuses on learning the basics of the sport, while keeping the ideas of Fun and Participation in mind. Kids will play games, run drills, and make friends. All Sport 5-13yrs A free intramural sports program. Basketball, Soccer, Hockey, Rockwall, Gaga. This class changes every week! Youth Basketball Clinic 8-12yrs This class focuses on the development of skills, fundamentals, and strategies of basketball. The first half of the session will concentrate on skills and drills while the second half focuses on using the skills built in a competitive setting and scrimmaging. Conditioning and Flexibility are implemented in each class. OTHER Kids Arts and Crafts 3-5yrs Kids create, design, color, draw, build, paint, and have fun with our Child Watch staff. Drop in and Sign Up available. Beginner Guitar Lessons 8yrs + Guitar lessons in a small group setting. GUITAR NEEDED FOR CLASS.
