Group Roll Call 9 GSRs present, 9 needed to pass Administration Roll Call Facilitator Present Co-Facilitator Present Secretary Present Alternate Secretary Present Treasurer Present Alternate Treasurer Present H&I Present PR Present Activities Present RCM Absent RCMA Present REPORTS H&I H&I meets at 1:00 PM on the day of area. We continue to need support on the women s side of GRN on Wednesdays at 8:00 PM. Please announce at your group meetings. We located the H&I Handbooks and I will be picking them up on Monday, January 4, 2010. Our focus for the new year is to ensure that we are following all guidelines for H&I and effectively carrying a clear NA message in an H&I setting. We are discussing meeting two times a month to help meet our new year focus. PR / Phone The PR subcommittee met for the first time this fiscal year on 12/16. There were five members in attendance, which is pretty good for a start. We discussed phone line answering order and made some changes based on actual participation. We have a list of twelve step volunteers. My concern is we have not work shopped dos and don ts as per Phone Line guidelines. And as these guidelines have not yet been discussed and presented to you for inclusion in policy. I am hesitant for us to react to such requests. Dinky was given a copy of a guide to Phoneline to assist her as she is our first contact and handles most all the calls that come through. We discussed our budget for this year and are going to make several requests outside of what has been previously been approved. If your group has specific questions regarding these please feel free to contact me at 404-312-7824. I will also be available to attend your group conscience if necessary.

Budget for PR FY 2010. Voice Over ip @ 50.41 per month x 12 = $ 604.92 Cell Phone @ 50.00 per month x12 = $ 600.00 Website @15.00 per month x12 = $ 180.00 I.P. s for presentations @ 25.00 per month x 12 = $ 300.00 Travel region @.35 per mile x 180 x 4 = $ 252.00 Total $ 1936.92 At the December RSC I was tasked to contact a reporter from the AJC about a specific article they were working on. I had the opportunity to speak with a writer from the AJC on the 23 rd of December in response to an email the Georgia region had received. Discussion was brief as she was up against a deadline and apparently had been trying to contact the region for some time. The article was printed on Dec 26 th. I could only provide her with basic information about meetings and average attendance. Overall I think it turned out well. Before our discussion ended I asked if she had any suggestions as far as the press trying to contact us. One suggestion was a physical address or office. The other which short term is much more practical is a contact number for Public relations on our website. The next PR sub-committee meeting will be held on Thursday 1/21 at the IHop on Hwy. 124 in Lawrenceville at 9.30 pm. Activities The Holiday Dance was another success. About 40 attended the speaker meeting before, and 70 attended the dance. After all expenses we made $34.00. Our next event will be Game Day on January 16, 2010 at Monroe New Miracles. The games will begin at 4:00 PM and last until 8:00 PM, followed by an open discussion meeting. We will be serving chili, chips and a soda. Donation of $5.00 includes meal. Bring games you want to play. My Funny Valentine is scheduled for February 13, 2010. Comedy show (please put together a comedy act and come a little early) and dance to follow. Bake sale (donations accepted). Relationships in Recovery workshop starts at 7:00 PM. Located at Zior United Methodist Church. March we are working out details for a skating party and April a picnic. We have challenged North Atlanta area to a softball game and hope we can schedule a practice for the picnic and will secure a place to play by March. Policy has not been finished at this time. We hope to bring a completed, voted on policy to the next area meeting in February. Discussed having workshops at activity events. Voted on positions on January 2 nd at the sub-committee meeting. Jennifer L. was elected Vice- Chair and Amy was voted Secretary. Next meeting will be January 23, 2010 at 515 Allens Landing Court, 30045 at 3:00 PM. Treasurer We had a beginning balance of $1,559.56, donations of $540.00, expenses of $734.52. This left us with an ending balance of $1,365.04.
