Happy Thanksgiving! The more you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you will go. Dr. Seuss Important Mid-November to January Dates: Wednesday, Nov 9 th : PTO Meeting at 7p Thursday, Nov 10 th : Ladies Night Out 7p Wednesday, Nov 16 th : Thanksgiving Pies Orders due Tuesday, Nov 22 nd : Thanksgiving Pies Pick up 2:50p-4p Friday, Dec 9 th : Holiday Fair Wednesday, Dec 14 th : Barnes & Noble Night 4:30p-7p Tuesday, Jan 10 th : PTO meeting at 7p Holiday Fair! This event is held to give our children the opportunity to do holiday shopping. The children are encouraged to have Mom, Dad or guardian to come help them shop. We would appreciate each family to donate a bag of candy for this project. Please keep in mind that it must be season appropriate. We are always looking for wrapping paper, tape, gift tags, and ribbon for donations as well. We are asking each child to bring an item to school that relates to the theme for their grade. Please send your donations ASAP as the deadline is Friday, December 2 nd. Thank you in advance for your participation! Let s make this year a super success for Ross by cutting out and sending in Box Tops for Education, Tyson Chicken, and Campbell s Soup labels! Found on many grocery items and products you already purchase, when you cut them out and send them in, our school benefits by receiving $$, books and more for each one we submit! Special Thanks to the many of you who have already been sending them in! Every one counts! It s not too late, You can still donate money and /or Join the PTO! Our next PTO meeting is November 9 th at 7p in the Gym. Any interested Parents/Guardians/Teachers are welcome and encouraged to attend. It is a great way to meet other parents. All members are eligible to vote at PTO meetings. PTO members attending meetings will be entered into a drawing to win a prize. Now is a great time to get started with the PTO, the donation/membership fee is only $15.00 per family! The membership does not commit you to volunteer. Thank you in advance for your contribution whether it is time and/or money!

Great event moments to remember

Stop & shop A+ School Rewards: We would like to remind all Ross families that if you have a Stop & shop card please register your number at http://www.stopandshop.com/savings-andrewards/rewards-program/aplus/ If you registered our school last year, you do not need to re-register. Penny Drive: We are collecting Pennies again this year. Please send in your change with your child. There will be little buckets in each classroom for collection. THANK YOU! Thank you to everyone who participated in our Celtics event as well as in our Family Photo event. Also, thank you to Valerie Fink for helping us on picture retake day. Another thank you to Alex Mercado, Dale Noun, Paul Noun and Mr. McGourty for such a great participation at the Rotary Totally Trivia competition on 10/22/16. Finally, another thank you to everyone who donated goods and/or their time during our bake sale and Halloween Dance. PTO Officer in Waiting: You will attend monthly PTO Board meetings (evenings, 7:00p) and 5 PTO meetings per year, where you will organize fun evens and coordinate with our committees chairs providing support when needed. This is a very important position please volunteer if you can! We are looking for volunteers to help us with The Holiday Fair. Please consider volunteering to work the fair for an hour, two or the whole day if possible. Any time you can donate is greatly appreciated. ***All parents volunteering must have an updated CORI form on file*** Please call Mrs. Intravaia (Ross secretary) if you are unsure you are updated/on file.
