It involves raising the heart rate so that the heart works harder to pump blood through the body. It s particularly good for your heart health. STRENGTH & RESISTANCE EXERCISE Resistance exercise helps strengthen muscles, bones and joints. It s a good activity especially if you have or are at risk of bone-thinning problems.
