Course Course Description The MERC Skin-to-Skin Direct Look cadaveric training program is intended for and open to practicing orthopaedic and neurological spine surgeons who want to learn more about the Lateral Lumbar Interbody Fusion (LLIF) technique using the Direct Look approach. This course is designed as a one-day course starting with a didactic session presented by key leaders in the technique. The didactic session is followed by an intensive hands-on training session utilizing cadaver specimens with a 2:1 surgeon to faculty ratio. Our experienced faculty will be engaged throughout the program. Learning Objectives: Upon completion of this educational course, participants should be able to: 1. Apply the principles and techniques acquired directly into their patient care of lumbar disorders. 2. Demonstrate and reinforce the strengths of the Direct Look approach with Globus Medical instrumentation. 3. Explain the principles and applications of different MIS approaches for lumbar interbody fusion techniques. Target Audience Enrollment in this course is open to practicing orthopaedic and neurological surgeons who manage the care of patients with spinal disorders. Cadaveric-based learning with a procedurally focused application of Globus Medical technology from start to finish. CADAVERIC
