GUIDED BONE & TISSUE REGENERATION DR. ISABELLA ROCCHIETTA & DR. DAVID NISAND 2-DAY MASTERCLASS (CHOOSE LONDON OR PARIS) This hands-on course will be delivered in small group workshops and will equip the student with the necessary skills and knowledge to achieve success even in complex cases. Course contents include vertical bone augmentation in severe cases, the management of the soft tissues around implants, and periodontal reconstructive surgery. Participants will develop their biological understanding and surgical techniques to guide them during the decision-making process.

GUIDED BONE & TISSUE REGENERATION HOW TO BUILD BONE AND SAVE TEETH IN CHALLENGING CASES The prerequisite for delivering dental implants in a correct three-dimensional position is to have sufficient volume of bone. Moderate to severe bone defects are quite common and therefore constitute a significant challenge to the clinician. Skilled use of regenerative materials can overcome patients morbidity associated with the use of large autogenous grafts. This masterclass provides the knowledge and skills needed to use Guided Bone Regeneration techniques to allow dentists to manage severe alveolar bone defects with or without dental implants. In addition, the course imparts regenerative techniques that can be used to save severely periodontally compromised teeth. This skillset will enable dentists to treat even the most challenging cases with cutting edge technology. This masterclass is delivered by world renowned experts Dr. Isabella Rocchietta and Dr. David Nisand. DR. ISABELLA ROCCHIETTA DDS MSc, Specialist in Periodontics Honorary Senior Research Associate in the department of Periodontology of the UCL Eastman Dental Institute, London. Lecturer for the Diploma in Implant Dentistry at The Eastman Dental Institute, University College London (UCL), UK, and affiliated with the Department of Biomaterials, Institute for Clinical Sciences, The Sahlgrenska Academy at the University of Gothenburg, Sweden. Currently elected Board Member of the European Academy for Osseointegration (EAO). Chairman of the EAO Junior Committee from 2007 to 2011, and member of the Experts Council of the Osteology Foundation, Lucerne, Switzerland. Author of several international peer-reviewed publications and book chapters, and international speaker on bone regeneration, bone grafting with growth factors, tissue engineering, osseointegration and implant protocols. DR. DAVID NISAND DDS, Specialist in Periodontics Lecturer for the Certificate of Periodontology at the University of Paris 7, France. Currently elected Scientific President of the French Society of Periodontology and Oral Implantology, and member of the EAO Communication Committee. Chairman of the EAO 2016 Congress and member of the EAO Junior Committee from 2007 to 2011. Reviewer for the French Journal of Periodontology, author of several international peer-reviewed publications and book chapters, and international speaker on short implants, bone regeneration and periodontal regeneration. Dr. David Nisand currently performs clinical work limited to periodontics and implant dentistry in Paris, France. Dr. Isabella Rocchietta currently performs clinical work limited to periodontics and implant dentistry in London, UK. ABOUT THE TEAM 01

GUIDED BONE & TISSUE REGENERATION AIMS: Upon successful completion of this masterclass, students will be able to: Understand the principles of Guided Bone Regeneration and Guided Tissue Regeneration. Undertake expert patient diagnosis for vertical and horizontal ridge augmentation. Make informed choices in graft selection and treatment planning. Apply the latest techniques to reconstruct peri-implant soft and hard tissues around dental implants or around teeth. Plan effective post-operative protocols. BENEFITS This masterclass provides the knowledge and skills required to manage severe vertical bone defects and treat them using Guided Bone Regeneration techniques. The use of such grafts can significantly reduce patient morbidity and restores adequate bone volume to allow the placing of implants without compromise on positioning. In addition, the masterclass provides the knowledge needed to reconstruct lost periodontal tissues around previously diseased teeth to avoid extraction. METHODS OF STUDY The masterclass is delivered in small group workshops ensuring a very high level of individual support and guidance. 12 MONTH MENTORSHIP After course completion, lecturers will be available to answer any questions from students regarding their own bone and tissue regeneration cases. In addition, within these 12 months students are welcome to travel to Isabella s London practice to receive guidance and perform one live surgery on a patient who requires bone and tissue regeneration treatment. ENTRY REQUIREMENT Minimum Entry Requirements A primary dental degree from a recognised institution. The masterclass is delivered and assessed in English therefore prospective students should ensure they have sufficient language skills to cope with the academic demands of the course. For group bookings with a minimum of 10 participants in one language a professional translator will be provided. COURSE FEES UK - 2,400 EU - 2,700 02
