ARTS ENRICHMENT COMMITTEE This team plans the Friday enrichment programs throughout the year. Additionally, volunteers are needed on performance days to assist as necessary. Time commitment: One hour (Educational Program) (Chair Kathleen Hogan) 7. BFCCPS BANKING This program is designed to help students understand the importance of saving. Volunteers are needed Thursdays (October May) from 8:45 9:45 am to assist with deposit slips, collect money and provide receipts. Training is provided. Time commitment: One hour per month (Educational Program) (Chair Pushpa Jangareddi) 8. BOOK FAIRS (Fall and Spring) Our book fair encourages students' love of reading and raises funds for the PCO. Volunteers are needed to set up and help students make purchases. Time commitment: One hour (Educational Program and Fundraiser) 9. FREE MONEY PROGRAMS Box Tops Coordinator Coordinate the BFCCPS Participation in the Box Tops Program. Time Commitment: One to Two hours per month. 10. FREE MONEY PROGRAM Stop and Shop Coordinator. It s a very simple process it is monitored and managed on the Stop & Shop website. Chair re registers every year and advertises letting families know to sign up. (Fundraiser) Option 3 11. AFTER SCHOOL ACTIVITIES We are looking for ideas for fun after school activities that will provide open ended challenges for children in grades K 8. Past activities included Destination Imagination and Lego League. We are open to these and other ideas! Time commitment: Varies (Educational and Social Program) 12. FAMILY NIGHTS These social events give families a chance to mingle and support a community service cause. Volunteers are needed to coordinate specific events. We welcome ideas for new events! Time commitment: Two to three hours (Social Program and Fundraiser) 13. FAMILY TO FAMILY This team helps community members who are in need of assistance. All assistance is provided in strict confidence. Time commitment: minimal. (Chair Christine Santos) Help with assistance to family in need 14. PICTURE DAY Volunteers are needed to help coordinate Picture Day and to assist Teachers and Students for a few hours on picture day. 15. RESTAURANT NIGHTS Work with local businesses to host special days/times of purchase where a certain amount of the proceeds is donated to the B.F.C.C.P.S PCO. These are typically run on half days and days off from school (typically 4 6 a year during any of the school months). Help is also needed marketing the event at school. (Social Program and Fundraiser) 16. SPIRIT WEAR (Chair Rachel Brancato) 17. SPRING FAMILY SOCIAL Help put together the Family Social event for the year, secure donations, chair a sub committee, assist with setup and execution of event. Time commitment: varies. Spring Family Social and Basket Raffle is an early spring event. (Social Program and Fundraiser) 18. BASKET RAFFLE at the Spring Family Social Help secure donations for the annual Basket Raffle at the Family Social, assist with item descriptions and packaging, and/or cover a shift at the raffle tables at the event. Time commitment: varies. Spring Family Social and Basket Raffle is an early spring event. (Social Program and Fundraiser) 19. TEACHER APPRECIATION This committee organizes activities during Teacher Appreciation week in the spring. Volunteers are needed to coordinate teacher gifts and appreciation events during the week. 20. TEACHER GRANT COMMITTEE This committee reviews teacher grant applications and chooses finalists for the PCO's Teacher Grant Award program. Time commitment: 4 hours. (Educational Program) (Chair Kerin Deely) 21. YEARBOOK COMMITTEE Help create the school yearbook. Volunteers are needed to take pictures throughout the year, compile page layouts, generate publicity for the yearbook, and administrative assistance is needed to collect orders at the end of the year. Time commitment: Flexible. 22. 3 GIFT CARD This program is always a huge success! Volunteers will promote the 3 Gift Card Fundraiser, collect orders and then distribute the gift cards. Time frame: Kick off after Thanksgiving close before December/January Holidays for Holiday Distribution. Time commitment: Two to three hours. (Fundraiser) (Chair Joanne Fu) 23. BJ's MEMBERSHIP DISCOUNT This program is also always a huge success! Volunteers will promote the BJ's Membership, collect orders and work with representative from BJ's. Time frame: Feb/March Time commitment: Two to three hours. (Fundraiser) 24. MAIN FUNDRAISER This program is a direct result of our communities feedback to the survey held during the 2015 2016 school year where a vast majority of our families voted to do something instead of holding the historical selling of wrapping paper, candles, etc. Volunteers are needed to help promote another fundraiser, implement it and work with the PCO Treasurer. FAMILY FUN RUN/WALK This program is a direct result of our communities feedback to the survey held during the 2015 2016 school year where a vast majority of our families voted for this type of program. Volunteers needed to coordinate, promote and orchestrate the event. Time commitment: Two to four hours. (Social Program and Fundraiser) 27. PCO BOARD MEMBERSHIP Volunteers are always needed for folks looking to get involved in our wonderful community and make a positive difference through educational and social programs that enrich student experiences and foster a sense of community among all families and staff.
