Who we are Why are we here? To improve lives through fellowship in service worldwide Where is Kiwanis? Over 8,300 Kiwanis clubs in over 79 nations with over 353,000 Kiwanis members. Plus over 7,900 Youth clubs with 349,700 members for a combined total of over 702,700*. When did Kiwanis begin? Started over a hundred years ago in 1915 in Detroit, Michigan * All figures approximate as of November 4, 2016.
