Pillar 2 Disparity Reduction, Equitable and Quality Social Services Rationale: Greater attention to malnutrition, which affects nearly one-fifth of children and one-sixth of women enhance its food and nutrition security through a multisectoral approach for prevention of under-nutrition 1,000 days from conception to 24 months of children.
UN s Current Interventions in Nutrition in Sri Lanka: Scaling Up Nutrition (SUN) Movement Sri Lanka joined the SUN movement in October 2012 SUN Movement supports Sri Lanka s Multi-Sector Action Plan Vision 2016: A Nourished Nation, convened by UNICEF WFP supports the setup and function of a Civil Society Alliance (CSA) through a partnership with Save the Children for advocating, mobilizing, and evaluating national nutrition interventions and restoring civil society awareness on SUN Global Nutrition Report 2014 was launched in Sri Lanka by SUNPF in March 2015 FAO serves as a member MsAPN is supported by UNICEF in 9 districts and the central coordination system facilitated with 16 focal ministries

Improve efficiency and effectiveness of government investment on food security and nutrition 2.
