SPECIAL ACHIVEMENT IN THE DEPARTMENT I played a key role in the introduction of teaching of implant dentistry to postgraduate students. We have since trained and mentored over ten postgraduate students from the departments of Periodontology/Community and Preventive Dentistry and Conservative Dentistry. The School of Dental Sciences of the University of Nairobi is the only school in the region that has the facility in training students in implant dentistry. 2
