We should all feel proud of what will be one of the best sporting facilities in Cumbria. The Hirst Centre, due to be completed at the end of May 2018, will provide 2 competition sized courts and a truly multifunctional space for netball, basketball, volleyball, badminton and cricket. Every pupil will have access to this flagship project and benefit from the aspirations it is bound to inspire. Parents and visitors will be able to enjoy a hospitality suite with a viewing gallery across Busk pitches and over the interior courts. The School felt so committed to creating a true hub for sporting life at Sedbergh that it approved the additional investment required to complete the construction of the Fitness and Hospitality Suites as part of Phase 1. However, the Foundation has been asked to raise the funds to purchase the equipment required for the Fitness Suite. Can you help us dot the i s and cross the t s in time for completion May 2018? With the support of OS, Friends and Parents we hope to provide the most advanced equipment on the market that will allow pupils to enhance their training or rehabilitation experience and the School to set and monitor individual programmes. The Fitness Suite will also be available to the community as part of the School s local support programme. The Sedbergh health centre, local schools and clubs will have access to the Sports Hall and Fitness Suite when not being used by Sedbergh pupils. Read on to find out how you can help.
The following items will create a Fitness Suite capable of meeting all the requirements of the potential users. Can you help us by contributing to purchase one or more of the individual components?
