Cutimed ACUTE Urea-based skin care Gentle cream mousse a selection for all moisture needs.

Cutimed ACUTE Balanced hydration Dry skin is associated with aging, environmental, and medical conditions such as diabetes and can lead to conditions ranging from itch and inflammation to skin tears or cracked skin providing a route for infection. Effective rehydration restores the skins barrier functions, increases flexibility and extensibility and reduces pain and inflammation in the rehydrated areas. Key causes of moisture defi ciency Well hydrated smooth supple skin functions optimally to reduce trans-epidermal moisture loss (TEML), patient discomfort, pain, inflammation and infection that may occur when the skin is allowed to dry out. Dry skin can result from many factors including: Healthy skin, maintaining normal moisture levels age medical conditions such as diabetes, or venous hypertension poor nutrition or hydration dry environment excessive bathing or showering Dry skin, showing reduced barrier function and increased moisture loss A moisturizer containing urea can be highly successful in counteracting dryness and soothing the skin.

02 03 Urea: the body s own moisturizing agent Urea is present in healthily skin where it helps regulate moisture balance and keeps skin functioning at its best. When applied to dry skin Urea binds with water and helps it penetrate the skin barrier to deliver moisture where it is needed most. Once rehydrated skin becomes supple and regains its protective functions. UREA Smooth, supple, hydrated skin Binds water and delivers it through the skin Provides deep moisture penetration Restores barrier function and reduces TEWL Benefits of urea penetrates dry skin to deliver needed moisture reestablishes the barrier function of the skin reduces itching, pain and inflammation returns skin to its smooth and supple condition helps naturally debride loose and necrotic tissue compatible with garments and hosiery
