COURSE HIGHLIGHTS Guest speaker Dr. Mahul Amin, editor of the 8th edition of the AJCC Cancer Staging Manual, joins an elite roster of Mayo Clinic faculty. This year s course focuses on staging changes found in the 8th edition of the AJCC tumor staging manual and updates in WHO classification. Organ systems discussed include breast, head and neck, gastrointestinal, pulmonary, soft tissue, gynecologic, genitourinary, endocrine and hematologic. Presentations will clarify changes to terminology and staging; lectures also include practical discussion of diagnostic challenges, need-to-know molecular updates and emerging issues. Audience response system engages attendees and reinforces learning throughout this 2.5-day course. INTENDED AUDIENCE This course is designed for pathologists, pathologist assistants, pathology fellows and residents, and allied health staff with an interest in diagnostic pathology. It is also intended for surgeons and oncologists with an interest in new pathologic staging criteria.
