Make a donation to help fund a specific project Core to the Society s charitable remit is organising educational events and providing grants, awards, bursaries and scholarships. These grants and awards come out of Society funds and therefore your specific donation to these projects has a significant impact on the learning and development opportunities the Society is able to provide. Your donation will support CONNECT WITH THE COUNTRYSIDE An interactive, hands-on educational day for 2,500 primary school children and teachers that supports the National Curriculum with engaging instruction on food, farming, the countryside and the environment. LAND-BASED COLLEGE FUNDING Every year the Society invites land-based colleges in the region to apply for funding to enrich the curriculum courses they offer. These grants enable study tours and exchange trips within the UK and overseas and provide valuable learning opportunities for students and their teachers. TRAVEL BURSARIES The Society s travel bursaries help individuals or groups to fund international travel to study and learn about farming and agriculture around the world. NUFFIELD SCHOLARSHIPS The Society has been sponsoring Nuffield Scholarships since 1979 and we are proud to have helped many talented individuals realise their ambition to be the best they can be. Scholars are chosen because of their potential to provide leadership within the farming industry and rural community and to raise standards as a result of their work. Thank you we really appreciate your support.
