impact dashboard - may 2018 As of May, PSI averted an estimated 8.0 M DALYs, provided 6.2 M CYPs, and reached 8.1 M users globally. In May alone, PSI added 2.6 M users toward the goal of 90 M reached by 2020. This doubles the YTD monthly average. 1.3 M users reached were added through distribution of malaria RDTs in Madagascar and South Sudan, supported by Global Fund. Condom sales in India LLC increased from 3.8 M condoms last month to 7.3 M. YTD sales (31M) are still behind what's need to reached the annual target of 180 M condoms. PSI safe abortion work is growing continuously. As of May, we've reached 706,946 women, resulting in 656,672 completed abortions; mostly in India and Cambodia. We are counting on four countries to contribute 8 M CYPs based on the sum of their annual targets: India LLC, Pakistan, Uganda, and Kenya. Only Pakistan is on track toward targeted 1.8 M. Lesotho has surpassed its projection of CYPs four-fold with unexpected, free distribution of 11 M condoms reported in May period.
