HEALTH 2 FLAMMABILITY 3 REACTIVITY 0 SAFETY DATA SHEET Prepared by Duro Dyne December 27, 2013 1. CHEMICAL PRODUCT AND COMPANY IDENTIFICATION Trade name: DURO DYNE SOLVENT BASED ADHESIVE Product Identifier: RPG-1, RPG-5, RPG-55 Item #: 5047, 5048, 5049 Supplier Details: DURO DYNE CORPORATION 81 Spence Street Bay Shore, NY 11706 Information Phone No: 800-899-3876 Emergency Phone No: 2. HAZARD IDENTIFICATION 800-255-3924 (CHEMTREC) Permissible Exposure Level: Threshold Limit Value: Effects of Acute Overexposure: Eyes: Skin: Breathing: Swallowing: Effects of Chronic Overexposure: Can cause severe irritation, redness, tearing, blurred vision. Prolonged or repeated contact can cause moderate irritation, defatting, dermatitis. Excessive inhalation or vapors can cause nasal and respiratory irritation, central nervous system effects including dizziness, weakness, fatigue, nausea, headache and possible unconsciousness, and even death. Can cause gastrointestinal irritation, nausea, vomiting and diarrhea. Aspiration of material into the lungs can cause chemical pneumonitis, which can be fatal. Prolonged or repeated exposure to N-Hexane may damage peripheral nerve tissue (that of the arms and legs) and result in muscular weakness and loss of sensation in the extremities (Peripheral Neuropathy). Methyl Ethyl Ketone may potentate (shorten time of onset) peripheral neuropathy caused by N-Hexane. Prolonged and repeated inhalation of high levels of mixed isomers of Hexane resulted kidney damage in male rats. The effects observed are the same of those seen in male rats exposed to other hydrocarbons. The mechanism by which these chemicals cause the characteristics kidney toxicity is unique to the male rat and the kidney effects are not expected to occur in man. Overexposure to this material (or its components) has been suggested as a cause of the following effects in Page 1 of 4

humans and may aggravate pre-existing disorders of these organs, central nervous system, and visual impairment. 3. COMPOSITION/INFORMATION ON INGREDIENTS PRINCIPAL HAZARDOUS COMPONENTS % BY CAS# WEIGHT Toluene 12.5% 108-88-3 100 ppm Hexane 55.5% 110-54-3 THRESHOLD LIMIT VALUE These chemicals are subject to the reporting requirements of Section 313 of Sara Title III. FIRST AID MEASURES Skin: Eyes: Ingested: Inhalation: Primary Routes of Entry: Effects of Chronic Overexposure: Thoroughly wash exposed area with soap and water. Remove contaminated clothing. Launder contaminated clothing before re-use. Flush with large amounts of water. Lifting upper and lower lids occasionally, Get medical attention. Do not induce vomiting. Keep person warm, quiet and get medical attention. Aspiration of material into the lungs due to vomiting can cause chemical pneumonits, which can be fatal. If affected remove individual to fresh air. If breathing is difficult, administer oxygen. If breathing has stopped give artificial respiration. Keep person warm, quiet and get medical attention. Inhalation, skin contact. Prolonged or repeated exposure to N-Hexane may Damage peripheral nerve tissue(that of the arms and legs) and result in muscular weakness and loss of sensation in the extremities (Peripheral Nauropathy).
