Welcome Thank you for choosing to have a Migraine Meet-up! We hope you ll find this pack helpful and that it inspires you to have a great time with your family, friends and the people in your community. Its recommended that you try to recruit some volunteers from your friends and family to help as soon as you can people love to feel useful, and if you re a person with migraine, sharing the stress of running an event will really help out. We re hoping to build a strong community of like-minded people people who understand migraine, who want to run events to support The Migraine Trust and people who believe in the aims of what our Meet-ups events would like to achieve. If you have any hosting tips, baked goods recipes or themed brunch guides you might want to share with us and the Meet-ups community, we d be delighted to share them with our Migraine Meet-ups fundraisers. We d also love to hear about your events, so make sure to send on any photos and event details you might have! We support two kinds of events, though you are free to hold an event of your own making! They can be as ambitious as you like, and we ve created this pack to suit any supporter and cater to the needs of any person with migraine. Make sure you let us know about your planned Meet-up event, and don t hesitate to contact us at fundraising@migrainetrust.org Low-key Tea Themed Brunches Low-key Tea events are intended to be our least stressful, simplest event to organize. They are perfect for people with unpredictable migraine or supporters without much time. Themed Brunches are events for our most ambitious supporters and suit people whose migraine are more under control.
The Meet-ups Community Make sure you sign up to our E-Bulletin for monthly updates we ll be sharing resources for Meet-ups, Low-key Tea and Themed Brunch recipes shared by fundraisers and supporters, and many hints and tips for hosting events. Fun & Games You might want to provide some entertainment for your Low-Key Tea or Themed Brunch, so your guests will really enjoy your event. We ve included a Quiz in case you can t come up with something, but there are lots of things you can try. The key for organizing entertainment is to really know your guests! Traditional party games, like charades. Board games, such as Monopoly or Cluedo! Really understand what your guests would enjoy and make sure there s something for everyone!
