Event information Following the huge success of previous Ireland Farmer Safety events in Co Cavan and Co Galway, we would like to offer our third free-of-charge initiative on farm and. Event overview Agriculture continues to have the highest fatality incidence rate, with injuries and ill health also causing concern. This event will offer safety advice and demonstrations from Pallaskenry College staff, Farm Relief Services instructors and Height for Hire staff. It will help improve awareness among the local farming community of the dangers of unsafe practices and demonstrate how a safer farmyard can help prevent accidents and fatalities. What s in it for you By attending this event, you can expect to improve your awareness of farm safety, which, in turn, will help prevent farm accidents, serious injuries and deaths. You ll also have the opportunity to network with other farmers, members and non-members of IOSH. Who should attend This event will be highly beneficial for farmer and farm workers, as well as others who work in industry. What you need to know As this event features outdoor practical demonstrations, you re advised to wear appropriate clothing and footwear to suit wet weather conditions. This event is free to attend and will include lunch and refreshments. Please note that booking is essential.
